“Come on Maci!” The
small yellow cub called out as he walked through a set of brushes and was
starting to climb the side of a waterfall, and was getting a little agitated at
the fact that the cub was slowing him down. Maci soon caught up to him and
started climbing as well.
“See what’s all back here?”
“Lots
of neat stuff.” Maci
answered staring at it all. Elliot nodded as the cub started to explore a
little bit.
“How did you find
out this was here?”
“Cubbi showed it to
me.” Elliot said to him. Elliot then hit the switch and turning it on. Maci watched with large
eyes as the equipment started to move.
“You run though them
Maci just like one of the courses that Plucki has for us when were training.”
Elliot said. Maci nodded and grinned as he started climbing up at the start
getting ready to run through. Passing with flying colors, Maci sat down to
relax.
“Stay here Maci I’m
going to go explore.” Elliot said as he headed out.
After bit Elliot got
up and headed back to Gummadoon, and started playing a bit in his room.
While back at the
hidden training course, Maci sat and waited for Elliot to come back as he sat
there waiting a tear began to fall to his cheeks from his little eyes. He was
cold, and hungry. Not only that he was scared now as
well
“Papa!” He called out again he cried out “Papa” still
nothing happened.
“le
papa est venu reçoit votre petit garçon” Maci cried out, at that moment, something
walked up from behind.
“What are you doing
here little cub?” A voice asked gently. Maci turned, seeing a light blue gummi
standing there. Maci knew this one from Cubbi but couldn’t remember his name
real well. Instead he spoke
“I want my Papa.”
tears ran down the cub’s face. Gusto realized this cub was from Gummadoon.
“Say how’d you get
clear out here?”
“was
playing with Eliot, he left and no come back.” Maci said still a bit frightened
Gusto remembered then that Cubbi happened to be staying the night at the Glen
and decided to take the cub to him.
“Maci what are you
doing here?”
“I want my Papa,
Cubbi” The cub cried out. That’s when it hit him. His face took on an angery look and pulled Maci to him. Knowing
that he wasn’t supose to be out that far by himself.
Nor was his partener who left him. But Cubbi just
asked one of the adults to help him take Maci back and
told them that he mise well there himself besides
that he had to talk to Elliot himself.
“Cubbi what are you,…”
“Daddy, Elliot left
MACI clear on the other side of the Glen.” Cubbi said releasing the cub so that
he could run into Blastus’s arms.
“Say what?” Cubbi
nodded at his answer. Plucki stormed into Elliot’s bedroom angry then yanked
him up off the floor, and threw him over the end of the bed, as he ripped the
cub’s pants off. Barring his backside and smacking it repeatedly with his belt,
as he scolded.
“You know you are
not permitted to go that far by yourself and you know not to leave by yourself,
or use equipment without and adult there with you is that understood?!”
“Yes sir” Elliot
cried out as the belt connected with him one last time. To make the point one
last time, Plucki walked around and collected all Elliot’s toys into a box, and
told him to sit in his room and that he was going to stay there for a few days to think about what he did. Then walked out.
