“Almost got it,”
Elliot told himself putting the final touches on the contraption that he had
been working on. Standing up he grinned then headed to the other cubs in
Gummadoon, telling them that he had just put a new toy together. All of them
ran to the spot where Elliot was the cubs couldn’t believe their eyes, a sling
shot, that was big enough to fit them.
‘How does it work,
Elliot?” Maci asked looking at the thing
wide eyed.
“Well you sit in the
seat and hold on while the one of us pull the seat back and when the cords have
enough tension they let you go and you fly across areas and you will go fast
and far.” The yellow cub told them with wide eyes.
“Great let me try
first Elliot!” Cubbi said taking a seat. Eliot nodded and pulled the sling back
as far as it would go, Corvi, and Toni jumped in to help pull it tight, and as
soon as they were sure it wasn’t going to go no more let it go Cubbi flew into
the air fast yelling WOW!” As soon as he landed in the lake he called
“OUCH”” Then stood
up staring at his surroundings then headed out of the area back to where the
others were, and said grinning, that was cool!” One by
one they started shooting each other, and landing in the oddest place, until
they got to Corvi,
“Alright, now”
Elliot called out motioning for all of them to come over and get a spot,
“Hey what is this?”
“Well your not
exactly light Corvi, I need help with yours,” Corvi rolled his eyes and just
sat down the cubs repeated what they had before, Corvi landed in the tree tops.
He sat there for a few moments tapping his fingers trying to figure out how to
get down.
“There you are
Corvi, where were you?”
“I got a little tied
up, Sir Plucki, I’m sorry.” Plucki nodded and let the cub take his seat at the
dinner table, and
get himself something to eat.
“Big Brother I have
something for you.” the three year old brother of Corvi said holding up a paper
with scribbles all over it. Corvi smiled and thanked him and told him to finish
eating.
