<That’s right, Jewels, Good girl.> I told her in the Glen language. As she laid on my chest and was talking to me questioning things that were around her I looked real quick at the ones beside us. Ursa and buddi were still fast a sleep. I looked to the other bed, Jaysa was still a sleep as well, it was just me and Jewels for the time being.

<where my Mamma?> My heart tore at her question.

<your Mamma had to go away. She left you and your brother to me, your aunt Selena.> the cub nodded understanding my words.

After bit I told the child to play of the floor for a bit so that I could rest again.

I was wakened by a loud cry, looking to my left I noticed that Jaysa was the one that was doing the crying.

“Something scare you Jaysa?”  I asked him sitting back up and pulling him to me. He was still crying as I tried to soothe him it wasn’t working by my laying there, carefully I got up out of bed and started walking with him trying to get him to stop.

Hearing Grubbi clear his throat behind me I cringed.

“Grubbi he was crying I had to do something! He was fussing enough that he wasn’t going to stop with me just laying there.” I said passing back and forth with the cub, “I’ll lay back down as soon as I get him to sleep again he’s scared. And I’m not about to put him down. Not right now I’m not anyways.” I told him pacing with the toddler.

<It’s alright you’ll be fine, they’re not going to hurt you no more, Sweetheart.> I told the cub in Glen <The ones from the slave camps are not able to get you my son.> I told him holding him gently. Not paying attention to Grubbi’s and not bound to either.
