“Mamma we made
something for you.” I headed outside to see what the girls were doing. I ended
up with several smiles and eyes staring at me as they handed a card to me that
was about the size of my six year olds, it had several pictures and names
written in it.
“This is beautiful
you guys thanks” I said giving out as many hugs as I could to my cubs. Skyla
raised her arms up for me to pick her up, I did so as
she asked
“Really Mamma, you
like it?”
“Yes I do baby, I
love it!” I told her giving her another hug.
“what’s
all this about anyways?” I asked her.
“nothing
just that do a lot for us mamma, and we
give you a lot a hard times that we don’t mean to give you..” Darcy said
smiling at me and taking the younger cub out of my arms. Mamma we had someone
help us do this, but we found something that may have also belonged to you at
one point.” They had a small brown book that’s pages were a bit yellow and
inside were old pictures. I stood there stunned to stunned
to say anything.
“Thank you, I told
them staring at the pages,”
“We got them from an
old and plain field that was near where all of us had camped the other day with
Darcy and Tanni,” Joy told me. I smiled at the thought. Picking up one of my
cubs I sat down with the book and looked through it,
“These are from when
I was little.” I told them.
“Mamma what’s all
that about?” Looking at the picture that Melody was looking at My heart stopped. I then closed the book for a moment.
“Mamma it was the
same kind of place that me and my sisters came from isn’t it?”
“yes
Mel it is.” I told her wanting to be opened about it. But not wanting to give
to many details about what happened.
“I’ll look at it
later.” I told them. Then looked to the twins who were starting to stand in the
middle of the room this time, and managed to get themselves in a complete
standing position started praising them as much as I could about that. Running
over to them I picked first Scarlet up and tickled her as well as kissed her
face, then put her down and repeated it for Rei. Both twins laughed at my
reaction. Looking at my little ones I told them that
today had been one that was pretty special that was for sure and it was one
that I wouldn’t forget. My cubs all looked at me smiling as they took off to
play grinning.
