| NRPG: This is essentially the same as my last post, but I altered some elements to smooth out any inconsistencies. Also, I added a few things here and there to polish things up. RPG: (SB968/Quarters/Weir) Weir stepped into her new quarters and literally dropped her bags onto the floor at the entrance. She smiled; there was nothing stopping her from doing such an action this time. She was anything but tired; she was ready to explore the station and the off-duty time helped. She walked around the quarters and found it to be a lot bigger than her quarters back at the academy. The medium sized bedroom was separate from the spacious sitting room. The bathroom was very decent also. However, she found the quarters a bit bland for her tastes. The walls were white, the carpet gray, and the tables and desks beige. ~Got to add some colour to it.~ She looked around, thinking of possible colours that may make the atmosphere of the room more cheery. ~pastel blue walls...floral design couch apolestry...the bed will be perfect with the floral design bed spread that I brought along. The tables require some... Naahhh, I'll figure out this another time; I have plenty of time anyways. Hmmm... First things first, I think I'll take a nice hot shower and have a little something to eat instead.~ Weir quickly pulled out the necessary clothing and toiletries out of her baggages and proceeded to take a relaxing shower. She left the bags exactly where she dropped them, planning to also unpack them another day. After twenty minutes, she finally walked out of the washroom which was now humid and steamy. "Computer, play Pachabel's Canon in D." Weir said, after deciding that it was too quiet. <<computer acknowledges>> Weir smiled at the tranquil music that filled the room a second or two later. She took her time in drying her hair and fixing it to a creative bee hive. She also added in a few streaks of silver colour using her electrolytic hair colour stimulator. It took her about ten minutes to decide what to wear. It took her about five minutes to find and dig it out of her baggages. Finally after and hour since she entered her quarters, she was ready to go and have a little meal -or so she had thought. She looked in the full-length mirror one more time. She was wearing a purple silk blouse which was sleeveless on one side and long sleeved on the other. Her pants, which was woven multi-coloured, were loose and baggy with one side ( the side with the long sleeve) knee-lengthed and the other side ( the sleeveless side) extending all the way to the heel. She wore a matching pair of emerald earrings and a sapphire eye-brow ring. She was also wearing a matching pair of bright yellow shoes which had three-inch high heels. She figured that she might as well wear a matching pair of shoes this time since she is exploring the station for the first time. She did not want to trip over some unforseen steps. She then frowned slightly. Something was missing. She studied her out fit one more time and then realized that a scarf was the answer to that missing element. She proceeded to dig in her baggages for the perfect scarf. Finally, after another ten minutes, she was really ready to go to the promenade and have a little meal. She discreetly put her commbadge and a small phaser in her pants pocket. The phaser was for the slim chance of running into trouble while being off duty. She took a quick look at the PAAD that was given to her when she first arrived on the station. It contained a schematic of the station and various other orientation related information. After making sure that she knew where she was going as opposed to getting lost on one of the one-thousand decks, she proceeded to the promenade. (SB968/Promenade) Weir looked around the large promenade. She was ovewhelmed by the many humanoids walking around, the many sounds, and the many colours. One store particularily caught her attention: Sharma's. Its sign was bright red and there were many people walking out and in of it. On top of it all, there was loud Jazz-like music originating from the store. Jazz was one of her favourite music genres. ~Good enough reason to check it out~ Weir thought, as she stepped into the store to find out that it was a bar. She took a table on the second floor near the railing so that she can see the musicians who were making the music down below. A waiter came she and ordered a fruit pastry and a glass of Sprite, a twentieth-century drink. As one of her favourite drinks, she had always wondered what it was like to drink Sprite from its original packaging- an aluminum can, as she had seen in one of her history books. Just then, she saw and heard a suspicious conversation several tables to her left. Eight humanoids were congregated around a small round table that was meant for two people. A purple skinned male (she assumed) humanoid, a species that she had never seen before, was looking around the store as if to make sure that nobody was spying on them or listening in onto their conversation. Two humanoids, one male Andorian, and the other also unidentifiable, were sitting on the two chairs while the others were standing around, forming a tight circle. The whole group was talking to each other quietly, with the exception of the purple humanoid. Weir quickly looked in the other direction. All the signs led her to conclude that it was a conversation that she didn't want to miss. Meanwhile, the waiter came back with the food that she ordered. She thanked that waiter and tipped him. She sprinkled some pepper on her pastry and munched on it slowly and quietly, while trying to catch what she can of the conversation. She was known to have a strong sense of hearing. "...fifty gold bars of latinum each and no less..."said a low bassy voice. "...twenty...you only stole them, you did not have to pay for them" sneered a nasal-like voice. "I had to risk my life in obtaining those goods" the low bassy voice sneered back. "Shhhh!" whispered another voice. The conversation then was reduced to various whispers. A minute or two later, the conversation got a bit more heated and she was once more able to hear bits of the conversation. " I will buy them for fourty a piece " a fourth voice said. "Deal. Six antique Andorian vases goes to Mr. Kh'llah at fourty bars of gold pressed latinum per..." Weir heard enough; it was definately a crime. She waited for the right moment to take action. Then she heard shuffling and foot steps. She stole a quick glimpse to find that the group was dispersing, with the exception of the Andorian and the unidentified alien. "We had a deal, you said that you were going to sell those vases to me." the nasal-like voice said angrily, after the others had left. "Sorry, business is business. The greater the latinum, that's where the deal is..." said the low bassy voice calmly. "Why you son of a P'tvark! ...You just wait!" the unidentified alien then stormed off, leaving the Andorian to be the only one left. This was the perfect moment that Weir had waited for. One vulnerable alien for Weir to throw in the brig and interrogate. In fact, it will be the first criminal that Weir will throw into the brig. The thought of actually shoving somebody into a holding cell and erecting a force field gave her a sense of anticipation. The andorian stood up, starting to leave. Weir crossed her legs and batted her eyelids, taking on a sexy stance. "Oh youhooo! Lover Boy of a handsome hunk! Come and join me!" Weir said invitingly. The Andorian went into a trance-like state and went over to Weir's table, literally drooling. At the instant the Andorian sat down, Weir lost her sexy posture pulled out her phaser, setting it to stun. "You are under arrest for the possesion of stolen goods. As of now, I will read you your rights while escorting you to the brig. " Weir stated, starting to stand up. The Andorian stood up slowly, as if to follow Weir. Then suddenly, the andorian ran for the stairs, trying to escape from Weir. Weir stuffed the phaser back into her pocket and quickly pulled off her shoes, preparing to chase after the Andorian. She was planning to pick up her shoes later ( She forgot about the bill) . She preferred hands-on-combat to the simple aim and fire of a phaser. She caught up with the Andorian just at the exit to Sharma's gave him a Karate kick at the back of his head. "Aaaaaaaaiiiieeeeeeaaahhhhhhh!" she shouted and then there was a thud. The Andorian groaned and stumbled for a few steps, before coming to a full stop. "As I said, you are going to the brig with me while I read your rights." Weir said, while straightening her clothes out . "And if you try to run off again, I will ....I will tie your eyes into a knot and drag you to the brig." Weir added, not entirely sure about the tying the eyes part, which just burst out of her mouth. The two managed to walk a few meters before the Andorian tried to run off again, taking advantage of the congestion of humanoids. Meanwhile the waiter was going after Weir, shouting that she did not pay the bill yet and that she forgot her shoes. Unfortunately, his cries were not heard amist the noisy promenade. It was a merry chase. The waiter was chasing Weir and Weir was chasing the Andorian. After about five minutes of chasing, the waiter gave up, deciding that the shoes would do to pay for the bill. Six minutes later, Weir finally managed to catch up with the Andorian. This time, she tripped him and pressed him to the ground. "You asked for it." Weir said, as she bound his arms with her scarf and proceeded to tie his eyes into a knot, still without the slightest notion as to why that burst out of her mouth. However, Weir was always one to keep her word; she must do what she said she would. Weir then smiled at the thought of the Andorian being literally cross-eyed. So Weir dragged the Andorian, by his eyes, all the way to the brig with her phaser drawn, instead of using the handy-dandy transporter. She figured that she might as well get the most excercise out of it. Everybody, along the way, were staring at the two, but she paid no attention. She had a job to do and that meant successfully getting the Andorian into a holding cell. (Luckily and miraculously, there were no starfleet officers around at that time) (SB968/Brig) After retreiving her scarf and ceremoniously shoving the Andorian into a cell, she closed her eyes and dramatically tapped the button which activated the force-field. She then listened carefully for the sound of the shield being activated ~I must savour this very moment, remember its sound; its sensation. This is my first catch as a Starfleet security officer...~ Her thoughts were cut off by the chirp of her commbadge. =/\= Ensign Weir, please report to the Promenade with a security detail immediatly. Weir pulled out her communicator and tapped it. =/\= On my way. =/\= acknowledged Weir. She quickly assigned one of the security officers to personally guard the Andorian and looked at the security schedule to see who was on duty and patroling an area closest to the promenade. After identifying two possible officers, she quickly contacted them and told them to meet her at the promenade immediately. =/\= Transporter room, emergency transport for one to the promenade =/\= "I'm going to file a complaint!" Shouted the Andorian, who by this time had untied his eyes and was glarring directly at her. That was all Weir managed to hear as she was beamed to the promenade. (SB968/Promenade) Weir and her security team beamed on to the promenade to find an angry mob surrounding a store entrance. To her shock, there was an angry Jem Ha' Dar standing right at the entrance and shouting at the mob. To her even greater shock, that Jem Ha' Dar was wearing a Starfleet security uniform ( which was plastered with various substances- she identified one as a ripe tomato) She stood exactly where she materialized, frozen in utter shock and completely unaware of the two security officers in her team, who went over to try to help the Jem Ha' Dar. It took her about twenty seconds to get her legs moving again as Rational Thought finally pushed Panic and Emotion out of the way. ~Jem Ha'Dar or no Jem Ha'Dar, he is a security officer who requires your assistance.~ Weir pulled out her phaser and quickly ran over to the mob to help her other two colleagues. "I warning you, if you do not leave now, you will find yourself in the brig! There's plenty of room for all of you!" Weir shouted, attempting to dissolve the mob. However, nobody listened to her. The mob probably didn't take her too seriously, considering her outfit. (Reply Warsie, Thrax, any) (Posted by Selena Fu) |
