Quality Assurance Manager
- Leading a team of 9 QA
Engineers, responsible for the testing of Hyperion's Business Intelligence
suite of tools including Designer, Explorer, Insight, Intelligence iServer and Performance Suite Server. These tools
perform database query analysis and reporting functions, document delivery
and database connection control. Tests are conducted on multiple platforms
(Windows, Solaris, HP/UX, AIX and Linux) with multiple database connection
requirements (Oracle, Sybase SQLServer, DB2,
Essbase, MSOLAP) and using multiple webserver/browser
components (IIS, WebSphere, IPlanet,
Apache, Tomcat, JRun, Internet Explorer 5.5/6,
Netscape7).
- Develop test approaches and
test schedules for each release of the products. Identifying criteria for
entering each of the test phases and determining level of effort required
for each new feature and significant code change. Working closely with
Development Management and Product Management teams on feature requirements
and project schedules.
- Develop and maintain client
automation test suite created in Rational Visual Test using a home-grown
foundation layer of custom routine calls and constants. Continually
expanding the automation test coverage to include additional new feature
requirements and direct new automation efforts to expand test coverage
ensuring earlier defect reporting and higher software quality.

responsibilities, continuing as an individual contributor with the
development and execution of comprehensive test procedures and test cases.
Test strategies employed include functional, acceptance, integration, new
feature, regression, backward compatibility, performance and Section508
Compliance tests. Review Software Requirements Specifications for accuracy
and potential integration problems with other products and new product
features prior to implementation.

Requirement Specification documents for releases of Hyperion Intelligence

development organizations to provide cross-product integration for new

effort for product suite which included: maintaining business relationship
with accessibility contractor to ensure continued support and audit
