Elizabeth Hall was born March 10, 1813, in Clayton West, West Riding Yorkshire. The town of Clayton West is about 3 1/2 miles north of Cawthorne, West Riding Yorkshire. Elizabeth was the youngest child of George Hall and Martha Darley.

After Elizabeth's husband died, she eventually joined her son, Edwin, in Worcester, MA, and later Pittsburgh, PA. Elizabeth was listed as widow of William Kidd, living Worcester, MA City Directory 1874-1887.
