| Sela was born in Meridian,on July 11th 1956 to Granberry Holland(electrical engineer) and Annie Kate Ward as Sela Ann Ward. She is very involved in the drive for the restoration of the Opera Hose in her hometown,Meridian, and has even appeared in front of the congress in that matter. A dedicated fan has set up a website and a fund to help contricute money for the restoration. Siblings:Jenna (October 1957),Berry(1959) and Brock (1961). Education: Sela graduated from the University of Alabama,B.F.A,arts and advertising in 1971.She also cheerledered for Crimson Tide Football Team,was homecoming queen and a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. At first Sela was a model,at a friend's advice and only later an actress. Children:Austin Ward born May13 ,1994. and Anabella Raye born May 30,1998. Wedding:Howard Elliot Sherman(born 1955) on May 23,1992. Sela had many many ad gigs (Pepsi,Sprint, etc.) and many guest appearences(Fraiser,Night Court, etc.) But is well known for her role as "the naughty sister" Teddy in the NBC drama Sisters(1991-1996).For this role as Teddy Sela got 2 Golden Globe nominations for best lead actress in a Drama series.In 1994 Sela won an Emmy for her role in Sisters and in 1996 she got a Actors Gulid award.
