Aeon Quests

Anima

This is acquired in the first area you see in Spira, Baaj Temple.  Remember where you had to swim around and about got eaten by some fish-looking creature?  Yep, that's where we're going.

Step 1:  You have to have control of the airship.  Pull up the map by talking to Cid.  Choose Search.  Go to approximately X = 14.168,
Y = 59.190.  The Z coordinate will take care of itself.  Leave the Search screen and go to List.  Baaj Temple is now a choice, so go there.

Step 2: Run all the way out to the end.  There is a chest at the end of the little fork to the left.  If you didn't get that when you were dropped in at the beginning of the game, go get it.  At the end of the main path, you are to jump off the end.  Okay, it tells you that O to dive and square to surface.  Use the O to dive down and swim toward the statues at the back of the screen.

Step 3:  BATTLE.  This battle, for me, wasn't that challenging.  It did take 2 tries to set the right equipment, but it was merely having all the wrong planning that made me have to give it a second go.  After defeating that beast, go on to the statues.

Step 4:  Go into the temple.  The doors are back between the statues.  Swim all the way back and run through the doors at the back of the screen outside of the water.  You need to go to each of the statues and hit X to get the orbs to light.  Each orb represents a temple you've been in and received the destruction sphere and used it to acquire the chest.  (I always wonder why they looked like gargoyles rather than the aeons, but hey.)  After all 6 of the orbs are lit, then go to the huge translucent symbol.  It will open and you may enter to get Anima.

Spoilers:  So, since you saw Seymour have Anima, do you know the connection with this aeon?  Well, I'm not going to give you all the details, but by the end of all the lovely flash backs to Seymour as a child and listening to tales about his mother, I'm sure you can figure out the most of it!

Magus Sisters (Cindy, Sandy, and Mandy)

For right now, I will direct you to Azure Edge's walkthrough at GameFAQ.

Jecht Spheres

Alright the allusive Jecht Spheres.  This is how we level up Auron's overdrives.  Okay, how we learn them.  And lots of information about Lord Braska's pilgrimage.  Like, just how did Lord Braska get stuck with Jecht?

The locations of the Spheres:
*Note:  Spheres cannot be collected until after the battle with Spherimorph.*
1.  After defeating Spherimorph at Macalania Lake, automatically receive
2.  Besaid Villiage, near the temple
3.  S.S. Liki, leaving Besaid, in the cabin
4.  Luca Stadium, in the basement near the locker room
5.  Mi'ihen Highroad, go down to the Old Road and go all the way back almost to the previous area (as in leaving Mi'ihen), it's on the dead end on the right of the screen.
6.  Mushroom Rock Road, Precipice, south of the rising platform
7.  Moonflow, South Wharf, near the Shoopuf dock
8.  Thunder Plains, south part, near a lightning rod on the right
9.  Macalania Forest, South, right at entrance
10.Mt. Gagazet, Mountain Road, side road that dead-ends

Oh, maybe I should also note that Yuna's sphere doesn't count to this. (I've seen walkthroughs refer to it as Lord Braska's sphere before, buy why when Yuna's the one doing it, I haven't a clue.)  So if you were hoping it would count, it won't.  It's just lots of insight into our young heroine's mind.

S.S. Liki Projects

Okay, there are two little things here.

1.  Bird Count

The bird count is really easy, so maybe that's why I haven't seen it in any other walkthroughs.  Just hop on the S.S. Liki at Luca Stadium and ride back to Kilika.  Before going to the basement to rest, head up to the top deck and talk to the man sitting at the back.  Keep talking until he asks if you've counted the birds.  If you say no, he sends you off to count the birds for him.  If you come back and give him the wrong number, he just asks if you're sure and sends you off to recount.  If you get that number right, (11 for my game, have yet to get time to go back and make sure it isn't random), you get the Ace Wizard for Wakka.
[Magic +20%] [Magic +10%] [Magic +5%] [Magic +3%]

2.  Jecht Shot

Did you miss the Jecht Shot when you were going through before?  Well, when you go back to get the Bird Count, go for it again.  You can still get that Jecht Shot to help you win blitz ball games for Wakka's overdrives and celestial weapons.
