+ + Seizure Boy + + || Manta's Oversoul When I first heard about Manta's Oversoul, I was pretty excited. I mean, my little Manta--all grown up. Er, maybe not grown up. He's two foot something and I seriously think my little sister's large, stuffed Grumpy Carebear is bigger than him.

But when I looked up some info on it, because I know that the anime doesn't appear to elaborate much on the subject of things, I realized that Manta does not clearly Oversoul in the manga. As a matter of fact, he doesn't want to do such things, it doesn't seem to suit him. Besides, he oversouls a laptop? And that has to do with being a blacksmith by.... how? At least he knows what an enter key is, right, Ren?

Manta is Yoh's first human friend. Yoh was pretty much a loner without many friends at all. I'm not really sure what Yoh thought of the humans, but after meeting Manta, I'm sure he didn't think that they were all that bad. And if Manta's a shaman (just like everyone else in the show), would that prove to Yoh that maybe, perhaps... humans aren't good? Would Yoh more-or-less have taken the side of Hao?

I think Manta is basically the difference between Yoh and Hao. If Manta had not shown up, Yoh might be closer to Hao than we think. I mean, for the most part they have the same laugh. Even if I squeal at Yoh's because it's much cuter, and Hao's because it's Minami Takayama. Still, Hao would never be able to make human friends. Because, well, he hates them. The fact that Yoh has one is what really makes a difference.

Other than the fact that Yoh is generally nicer and killed millions LESS of people.

What I'm saying is, even though it's pretty cool that Manta Oversouls and gets Mosuke, I'm not completely agreeing with it. Why can't the anime more-or-less follow through with the manga? I get Hiroyuki Takei checked up on it and said it was OK, so I'll just have to deal.
