The SW Con was a blast! I am exausted! The stars were awsome! I got to meet so many of them. I don't know where to start!
THURSDAY: We arrived at the hotel late & got our assignments. I was assigned to handle Trisha Biggar, Costume designer for Episode I & II.
FRIDAY: We had a quick get your bearings tour of the convention facility. It was HUGE! I still don't know how I didn't get lost. At 9:00 the con opened for Star Wars fanclub members only. We got to see the special digital footage of Episode II along with behind the sceens making of. I was just in total aw.
I met Trisha at her hotel & introduced myself. Boy was I in for a surprise. I also got to meet Ian McCaig & Dermot Power who were concept designers for Episode II. Lucky me. I had to fight all weekend NOT to pick up their accent, as Dermot & Trisha were from Scotland.
Got then to where thay needed to be & just hung out. Got to meet Anthony Daniels (C3PO) He is just amazing!
Got Trisha, & group back to their hotel & arranged to have them get in early to the exhibit hall to shop the next morning.
I then walked around with my mouth dragging on the floor. The exhibits were so cool! I also got to meet other stars, Hayden Christensen, Daniel Logan Rick McCallum, & many others.
Went out to dinner with a fellow Ringer, Maureen aka Goldilocks B. I love you Maureen!
SATURDAY: I met Trisha, Ian & Dermot again. Took them to the exhibit hall where they looked around. They got theit pictures taken in a "Turn your self into an action figure" display. It was a giant action figure box that you could get in & have your pic taken so you look like an action figure in a store. (I will post those as soon as I get them.) Got the trio to where they needed to be for their next panel. Hung out again. Got to meet the young Anakin. Escorted The trio to an interview with Entertainment Tonight. Hung out. After the interview I wasn't needed any more so I went & walked around the con some more.
That night, all the handlers on Alesia's crew had dinner together along with Daniel Logan (young Boba Fett) and his Nana) He is a real pistol! so intelligent & so very cute! He is going to be a rising star to watch for.
I had to leave dinner a bit early to escort Trisha, Ian & Dermot to the Orchesteral concert that evening. I went back to finish eating. Daniel was still there. I got some great pictures of him.
SUNDAY: I went around the con in the morning to take more in. Daniel spotted me & came up & asked me what I was doing there, I said I was working & asked hin if he was being good. He replied in his cheeky New Zelander accent (which BTW if you ask him about his accent he will say he doesn't have one) "I'm getting my XBOX!" He was very happy to get that. That was a "Swag" gift. (Don't ask)
I met up with Trisha again to escort her for the last time. While waiting for the costume contest to start I got to meet Warwick Davis (Willow) & Peter Diamond. I talked PS2 with Warwick. So cool. Well, anyway, before Trisha went on stage I said goodbye to her & wished her a safe trip back home. I will remember her for a long time. What a great trip. I then had to leave to go to the airport.
