Welcome to the seishin-do ryu
The Club's History

The Ryu is located at  Meadowfield Sports Center, County Durham, U.K. It has been there since the sports center first opened about 15 years ago. During the early years the ryu was run under the guidance of two other sensei the latter being Trevor Ball Sensei (1st Dan). For the past five years or so the ryu has been run under the guidance of Keith Moir Sensei (3rd Dan) and  Brian George Sensei (3rd Dan).

Friday 6.00pm - 7.00pm for All
Friday 7.00pm - 8.00pm for 3rd Kyu - 1st Dan

The Work Book

A few months ago the club adopted a new achivement system. This work book is designed to monitor a students progress through his / her training up to the level of Dan grade.
Demonstrations
Over the past few years the club has done some demonstrations for local school's in the area and charitys.

Brownie school display (1999)
As part of the display Brian (3rd dan) and Sohiel Daneshyar (1st Dan) demonstrated some Aikijujitsu (sword work) with live blades.

St. Patrick's RC school Display (2000)
This was at the annual summer fair at St. Patrik's RC school.

Chance for conner appeal display (2001)
This demonstration was held in order to help raise funds for a young man that lives in Meadowfield who has Muscular Dystrophy, the money is to go towards a new specially adapted wheelchair for him.
