Master Mitsurugi had 2 pupils one was Hiko, the other Sazuya Tokomoto. Sazuya was Doushin's father. in his child hood he lived in the mountains with his family. His mother had forbidden his father to teach Doushin the hiten mitsurugi ryu style. But then one day when his family was shopping for supplies in nearby Kyoto, the shinsengumi mistaked his mother for a deadly assasin and killed her infront of Doushin. His father had fallen behind and did not see it happenend but then he found Doushin. So Sazuya Taught his son Hitemitsurugiryu style. Later on his father died when he was 15 of a heart attack. Alone Doushin joined the Geno clan because he believed that fighting should only be a last resort and that those who only yell out about total peace should never fight, so he became a hitokiri for the Geno clan. He still holds a grudge agaisnt the shinsengumi and vows to kill the murderer of his mother, Saitou Hajime. He carries the katana of his father, it is called Hynkai. |
