James Floyd BILBREY
Father of Oak Ridge resident

James Floyd Bilbrey, 99, of Allons, Tenn., died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2000, at Livingston Regional Hospital in Livingston, Tenn.
Mr. Bilbrey had worked as a farmer.
He was born April 11, 1900, in Clay County, the son of Soloman and Susie Robbins Bilbrey.
He was a member of Allons Baptist Church.
Mr. Bilbrey is survived by three sons, Dewie Bilbrey and his wife, Suzanne, of Oak Ridge, James Lelon Bilbrey and his wife, Jewell, and Willie Hugh Bilbrey and his wife, Verdina; and by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Stella Sullivan Bilbrey and Vina Barlow Bilbrey.
The funeral was to be held at 2 this afternoon, Jan. 11, in the chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston with the Rev. Lester Flatt and the Rev. Larry Thomas officiating.
Burial was to follow at Miller Cemetery. Pallbearers were to be Landel Bilbrey, Alan Bilbrey, Scott Norman, Chuck Kirkpatrick, Rodney Kingrea and Willie Hugh Bilbrey. Joel
SEBER, Durran Lewis, Roy Lee SEBER, Gary Hunter, Jean Coffee, Barbara Hunter, Stacy Flowers, Sue Ann Goble, Sheila Moss and Paige Gazaway were named honorary pallbearers.

W.C. 'Dub' SEIBER
Anderson County native

W.C. "Dub" Seiber, 48, of Lake City, died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2000, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Mr.
SEIBER was born April 8, 1951, in Anderson County. He was a former employee of LTV Steel Co. in Hammond, Ind.
Mr.
SEIBER loved hunting and fishing, his family said. He had attended the Church of God.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda
SEIBER of Lake City; his son, Lawrence Wesley "Buddy" SEIBER of Indiana; two daughters, Kara Foster and her husband, Kevin, and Jennifer Gaynor, all of Indiana; and two grandchildren, Erik Foster and Emily Gaynor, both of Indiana.
Mr. Seiber is also survived by his mother, Elizabeth "Jo" Relford of Lake City; four sisters, Kay "Monk" Harness and her husband, Cliff "Shorty" Harness, Wilma Stonecipher and her husband, Charles, Leisa
SEEBER and her husband, Kevin, and Darlene Gilliam and her husband, Joe, all of Lake City; and by an uncle who was considered his favorite, Bill Trail of Lake City.
Teresa
SEIBER of Indiana was his former wife and Ervin Kennedy of Lake City was a special friend.  His father, Lawrence SEIBER, a nephew, Todd Harness, and a son-in-law, Allan Gaynor, died earlier.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26, in the chapel of Cox-Martin Funeral Home in Lake City with the Rev. David White officiating. Russell Massengill and Larry Noe will also speak.
Burial will follow at Circle Cemetery in Briceville. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Armstrong, Ted Patterson, Bobby
SEIBER, Floyd Burris, Richie Martin, Teddy Burris, Billy Braswell and Kevin Foster.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25, at the funeral home.

Charles Carrol ETHRIDGE
Retired from Union Carbide

Charles Carrol Ethridge, 92, of Oak Ridge, died Friday, April 7, 2000, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. He became ill on March 31 after mowing his lawn.
Mr. Ethridge was born in Bessemer, Ala., on May 26, 1907, the son of William Farney and Margaret Godwin Ethridge. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was honorably discharged on Nov. 1, 1941.
He had been a resident of Oak Ridge since Jan. 22, 1951. He retired from Union Carbide Nuclear Division in 1972.
Mr. Ethridge attended Heritage Fellowship Church, formerly the Oak Ridge Church of God. He was a 32nd-degree Mason, a member of Faith Temple Lodge No. 756, F&AM, in Oak Ridge and a noble of the Scottish Rite of Kerbela Temple in Knoxville. He also served as president of the Oak Ridge Fraternal Order of Eagles lodge in 1972.
His family said he enjoyed an active lifestyle. During bad weather, he did needlepoint. On pleasant weekends, he enjoyed riding his all-terrain vehicle with friends from the area. He also enjoyed boating, camping and swimming with friends and family, and playing Bingo with friends on Tuesday mornings at Kmart.
Mr. Ethridge is survived by his daughter, Brenda Demps and her friend, Frank Thursby, of Oak Ridge; and four sons, Charles Carrol Ethridge Jr. of Bessemer, Jackie "Jack" Carrol Ethridge and his wife, Joanne Talley Ethridge, of Clinton, James "Don" Downing Ethridge and his wife, Eva Anderson Ethridge, of Springboro, Ohio, and Richard "Tommy" Ethridge and his wife, Sharon Stewart Ethridge.
He is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Shirley Ethridge of Houston, Texas; and by 26 grandchildren and their families, including local grandchildren, Donna
SEEBER, Gina Ridenour, Randy Ethridge, Lisa McLaughlin, Richard Joiner, Darla Gamble, Belinda Wells, Sandra Kaplan, Tanya Ethridge and Shana Ethridge; and by 51 great-grandchildren. His wife, Jackie Gilham Ethridge, died Aug. 6, 1998, and another son, Charles Franklin Ethridge, died June 6, 1998. Two grandsons and two granddaughters also died earlier.
His family said he had many friends at church and in the Windrock ATV club and also special children he and his wife cared for over the years.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, at Weatherford Mortuary. A Masonic service will follow at 8 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at 8:15 with the Rev. Fred Garmon, the Rev. Becky Milligan and the Rev. Ed Denham officiating.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 12, at Anderson Memorial Gardens, Oliver Springs Highway, Clinton.
The family requests any memorials be in the form of donations to the Heritage Fellowship Church, Senior Adult Sunday School Class, 121 S. Illinois Ave., Oak Ridge, TN 37830.

Rulie CARROLL
Retired coal miner

Rulie Carroll, 69, of Oliver Springs, died Sunday, July 30, 2000, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Mr. Carroll had lived in the New River community and the Oliver Springs area all his life. He retired from coal mining after working 39 years at Windrock, Beech Grove and Spring City coal mines.
Born May 12, 1931, in New River, he was the son of Sampson and Emile Jones Carroll, who are deceased.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ellen Byrge Carroll; his son, Larry Carroll of Oak Ridge; his daughters, Janice Lisenbee and her husband, Terry, and Lora
SEEBER and her husband, Lewis, all of Oliver Springs; his grandchildren, Barry Lisenbee, Jenifer Lisenbee, Tracy Lynn Carroll, Laura E. Carroll, Travis SEEBER, Amber SEEBER and Sarah SEEBER; and by two great-grandchildren, Haley Lisenbee and Sierra Lisenbee.
Mr. Carroll is also survived by his brothers, Ken Carroll of Oliver Springs, Lonas Carroll of Nashville and Jasper Carroll of LaFollette; and by his sisters, Elsie Brummett of Harriman, Pearl Gibson of Cumberland, Ky., and Ethel Daugherty of Jacksboro.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2, at Grave Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Harold Duncan officiating.
Burial will follow at Grave Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight, Aug. 1, at Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs.

Ruth Marie Carroll, 55, of Oliver Springs, died Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Mrs. Carroll had lived in Oliver Springs for the past 46 years. She worked as a bus driver for Robbins Bus Lines of Clinton for 18 years. She had also worked for 15 years for the Anderson County Sheriff's Department.
She was born April 19, 1945, in Dickenson County, Va., the daughter of Grandville and Stella Hicks Phillips, who are deceased.
Mrs. Carroll is survived by her sons, Clifford
SEEBER and Brian SEEBER, both of Oliver Springs; her daughter, Naomi Patton and her husband, Charles R. Patton, of Oliver Springs; and by her grandchildren, Brandon R. SEEBER, Ceati A. SEEBER, Sean W. SEEBER, Briana G. SEEBER, Brian G. SEEBER, Robert L. Patton and William J. Patton.
She is also survived by her sisters, Elsie Bowling of Oliver Springs, Joyce England and Virginia Holbrooks, both of Virginia, Georgia Engstram of Chicago, Ill., and Faye Kohn of Indiana; and by her brothers, Buster Phillips of Oliver Springs, Grandville Hensley of Bristol and Gene Phillips of Chicago.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 20, at Community Baptist Church in Oliver Springs with the Rev. Robert Combs officiating.

Leo 'Joe' Frank CARDEN
Retired electrician

Leo "Joe" Frank Carden, 71, of Clinton, died Monday, Dec. 4, 2000, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Mr. Carden was born Feb. 9, 1929, in Lake City, the son of Ernest and Eliza Webb Carden, who are deceased. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
He was a retired electrician and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, No. 760, in Knoxville.
Mr. Carden was a member of Hillvale Baptist Church and he had attended Black Oak Baptist Church, both in Clinton. His family described him as a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mary Lou Sweet Carden; his son, Timothy Carden and his wife, Wanda, of Clinton; his daughters, Tanya Miller and her husband, Leroy, of Johnson City and Tisa Liford and her husband, Glen, of Smyrna; and his grandson, Christopher Carden.
Mr. Carden is also survived by his sister, Margaret Carden of Clinton; his brothers, Everette Carden and his wife, Dorothy, and Bobby Joe Carden and his wife, Mary Nelle, all of Clinton; his sister-in-law, Evelyn Carden of Clinton; his brother-in-law, Earl
SEEBER of Andersonville; and by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, an infant son died earlier. Two other sisters and another brother, Ernest Lou Carden, Grace
SEEBER and Bill Carden, are also deceased.
The funeral will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, in the chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with the Rev. Joe Bridges and the Rev. Larry Pugh officiating.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 8, at Black Oak Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Rosie Marie Childress, 73, died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000, at the LaFollette Medical Center.
Mrs. Childress was born Oct. 18, 1927, in Anderson County, the daughter of Matt and Sallie N. Patterson Phillips.
She had lived in the Oliver Springs area until moving to LaFollette in 1995. She was a Baptist.
Mrs. Childress is survived by her brother, Louis Phillips of Oliver Springs; and by her sisters, Susie
SEEBER of Oliver Springs, Louise Brown of Kentucky and Ammie Settles of Lenoir City.
Another brother and three other sisters died earlier: Ellis Phillips, Edith Phillips, Betty Phillips and Martha McClear.
The funeral will be held at 8 tonight, Dec. 14, in the chapel of Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs with the Rev. Steve
SEEBER officiating.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15, at Anderson Memorial Gardens, Oliver Springs Highway, Clinton.
