Clarence Jackson Curry, 73, of Oak Ridge, died Friday, Feb. 28, 1997, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Mr. Curry was a retired assistant manager with Singer Sewing Machine Co.
He was born in Cascade, Va., on June 19, 1923, the son of Arthur and Lillian Stratton Curry. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Powell.
Mr. Curry is survived by his wife, Nora Williams Curry; two daughters, Mona Cameron and her husband, the Rev. Paul Cameron, of Knoxville, and Linda Haire and her husband, Bennie Haire, of Franklin, N.C.; a son, Clarence Neal Curry, and his wife, Dora Curry, of Martinsville, Va.; three grandchildren, Angela Lynn Scott of Franklin, Timothy Neal Curry of Martinsville and Cynthia Rene�
SEIBER of Knoxville; and three great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held Sunday night, March 2, at Temple Baptist Church in Powell with the Rev. Clarence Sexton, the Rev. Jerry Taylor and the Rev. Paul Cameron officiating.
A graveside service was to be held at 10 this morning, March 3, at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
The family requests any memorials be in the form of donations to Temple Baptist Church, Beaver Creek Drive, Powell, Tenn. 37849.

Ray West, 60, of Wartburg, died Thursday, March 13, 1997, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Mr. West was a retired laborer and a former resident of Devonia. He was the son of Della and Esaw West. His mother lives in Devonia and his father is now deceased.
Mr. West enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping.
His wife, Bobbie Joe Phillips West, and a brother, Dayton West, died earlier.
In addition to his mother, Mr. West is survived by three daughters, Rosa Byrd and her husband, Scott, of Powell, Susie West and her husband, Eastil, of Dutch Valley, and Lisa Hawkins and her husband, Clyde, of Wartburg; and five sons, David West, Jim West and his wife, Charlotte, Larry West and his wife, Darlene, Jerry West and his wife, Karen, and Andy West and his wife, Eva, all of Wartburg.
He is also survived by two sisters, Mary
SEIBER and Edith Daugherty, both of Devonia; a brother, David West of Clinton; and 24 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held Sunday, March 16, at Shiloh Baptist Church in Devonia with the Rev. Bill Goodman officiating. Burial followed at Patterson Cemetery in Devonia.
Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg handled arrangements.

Richard Herbert Dean, 69, of Clinton, died Monday, March 24, 1997, at his home.
Mr. Dean was retired as a science technologist at the Oak Ridge Y-12 Plant. He began his employment with Union Carbide Nuclear Division on Nov. 1, 1954, and retired from Martin Marietta Energy Systems on June 1, 1984.
Born in Cedar Springs, Mich., on Nov. 14, 1927, he was the son of Alba and Beatrice Dean, both now deceased. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He attended First Wesleyan Church in Clinton.
Mr. Dean is survived by his wife, Louise
SEIBER Dean; three daughters, Pamela Stockton and her husband, Ed, of Oliver Springs, Kimberlea Warwick and her husband, Carl, of Andersonville and Cindy Nelson and her husband, Dale, of Harriman; a sister, Patricia Van Steenburg and her husband, Bob, of Central Lake, Mich.; and four brothers, Frank Petiprin of Jamestown, N.Y., Patrick Petiprin and his wife, Grace, of Orlando, Fla., Edward Petiprin and his wife, Sharon, of Lawtey, Fla., and David Petiprin and his wife, Stephanie, of Verona, Pa.
He is also survived by six grandchildren, Amber Warwick, David Nelson and Cody, Tyler, Scott and Amy Stockton; and two great-grandchildren, Kerri and Kyle Stockton.
The funeral will be held at 8 tonight, March 26, in the chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with the Rev. Sam Condon and Charlie Jenkins officiating.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 27, at Woodhaven Memory Gardens in Claxton.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Judy Shepherd Raines, 52, of Lake City, died Wednesday, April 2, 1997, at her home.
She was a homemaker and member of Ridgeview Baptist Church in the Cherry Bottom community.
She was born Oct. 9, 1944, in Campbell County, the daughter of Jesse Raines of Cherry Bottom and Fred Raines, now deceased.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by three daughters, Lisa Pebley and her husband, Kevin, Mary
SEIBER and her husband, Dewayne, and Nicki Hunley, all of Lake City; a son, Terry Hunley of Lake City; and by seven grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 8 tonight, April 3, in the chapel of Cox-Martin Funeral Home in Lake City with the Rev. Gary Smith officiating.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 4, at Ridgeview Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the church the hour before the burial service.
The family will also receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Frank Delano Hendrickson, 64, of Oliver Springs, died Sunday, May 25, 1997, at his home.
Mr. Hendrickson had worked for Boeing-Oak Ridge for the past 10 years and was previously employed for 36 years by Roane Hosiery Mill.
He was a lifelong resident of Roane County, the son of Ed and Blannie McCart Hendrickson. He was a member of Orchard View Baptist Church in Oliver Springs and a former deacon of Old Clax Gap Baptist Church.
Mr. Hendrickson is survived by his wife, Hannah Davis Hendrickson; three daughters, Susan Hendrickson, Lavana Lambert and her husband, Johnny, and Nancy Kerby and her husband, Bobby, all of Oliver Springs; and five sons, Franklin Hendrickson, Glen Hendrickson and his wife, Cindy, Mark Hendrickson and his wife, Judy, and Michael Hendrickson and his wife, Pam, all of Oliver Springs, and James Hendrickson and his wife, Kenya, of Rockwood.
He is also survived by four sisters, Myrtle Brown of Oliver Springs, Ruth Randles of Kingston, Nellie Ray of Harriman and Eleanor Edmonds, her twin, also of Harriman; three brothers, Estel Hendrickson and Richard Hendrickson, both of Harriman, and Hoyt Hendrickson of Griffin, Ga.; and by 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The funeral will be held at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, in the chapel of Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs with the Rev. Howard Hannah and the Rev. Boyd Dickey and the Rev. Billy Edmonds officiating.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 29, at Roane Memorial Gardens in Rockwood. Pallbearers will be James Davis, Tom Crass, Jim Weaver, Jack McNeil, Ben Braden and Eugene Simpson. Honorary pallbearers are R.C.

Maggie Lee Fritts, 86, of Oliver Springs, died Sunday, Oct. 19, 1997, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Mrs. Fritts had worked at Harriman Hosiery Mill and as a waitress.
She was born April 4, 1911, in Oliver Springs and lived in the area all her life. She was the daughter of Lish and Teene Parton Vann, both now deceased.
She was the widow of William "Bill" Fritts.
Mrs. Fritts is survived by a daughter, Nancy Steelman and her husband, Bud, of Oliver Springs; four granddaughters, Donna
SEIBER and her husband, Ed, of Petros, Gretta Gulley and her husband, Lloyd, Connie Webber and her husband, David, and Christal Russell and her husband, William, all of Oliver Springs; a grandson, Leslie Steelman, also of Oliver Springs; and two sisters, Roxie Russell and Flora Smurden, both of Oliver Springs.
She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A daughter, Helen Jacklyn Fritts, and a brother and two sisters, Jim Vann, Florence Russell and Ann Daugherty, are deceased.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, at Tuppertown Baptist Church in Oliver Springs with the Rev. Ralph Wilson and the Rev. Don Daugherty officiating. Burial will follow at Indian Creek Cemetery.

Ross V. Ward, 65, of Petros, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 1997, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Mr. Ward was a member of West Village Christian Church of Oak Ridge.
He had worked for Roane Electric and also as a self-employed truck driver.
He was born in Petros on May 17, 1932, the son of Ora Lou Adkisson and Henry Beecher Ward. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Mr. Ward was a member of Black Diamond Masonic Lodge No. 625, F&AM.
He is survived by two daughters, Rita Dishman of Wartburg and Rena Williams and her husband, Bernie, of Petros; a son, David Ward of Petros; four sisters, Inela Phillips of Oliver Springs, Deloris Redmon of Wartburg, and Lula
SEIBER and Shelby Trail, both of Petros; a brother, Basil Ward of Petros; and a nephew, Darryl Ward of Petros.
Mr. Ward is also survived by 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Ruben Lee Jones Sr., 78, of Coalfield, died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 1997, at his home.
Mr. Jones had worked as a coal miner and for Rust Engineering.
He was born in Duff on Nov. 19, 1919, the son of Cicero Jones and Mela
SEIBER Jones. As a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was decorated with five Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart.
Mr. Jones was a member of Middle Creek Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing baseball and fishing, the family said.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Perry Jones; three daughters, Wilma Musselwhite and her husband, Wayne, of Grand Bay, Ala., Diana Sharp and her husband, Don, of Jacksboro, and Patricia Allen and her husband, Larry, of Arlington, Texas; and three sons, Ruben Lee Jones Jr., and his wife, Patricia, Terry Jones and his wife, Debra, and Bradley Jones and his wife, Sandra, all of Coalfield.
Mr. Jones is also survived by a sister, Mae Turnbill of Oliver Springs; three brothers, Franklin Jones of Harriman, Albert Jones of Oliver Springs and Melvin "Gene" Jones of Midtown; and by 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Another son, Sammy Lee Jones, died earlier.
The funeral will be at 8 tonight, Dec. 26, in the chapel of Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs with the Rev. Jim Carr and the Rev. Kenneth Stubbs officiating.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, at Anderson Memorial Gardens, Oliver Springs Highway, Clinton.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Helen Faye Phillips Lemmon, 60, of Racine, Wis., died Thursday, Dec. 25, 1997, at her home after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Mrs. Lemmon was born in Tennessee on May 23, 1937, the daughter of Burley and Lina Phillips.
She enjoyed cooking, sewing, planting flowers, growing gardens, crocheting, reading and auto racing. She also loved to do things for her children, her family said.
Mrs. Lemmon is survived by four daughters, Sharon Stefka and her husband, Mike, Brenda Sharp and her husband, Ronnie, all of Racine, Janet Tworek and her husband, Peter, of Tinley Park, Ill., and Mary Hoegsted and her husband, Kris, of Union Grove, Wis.; two sons, James
SEIBER and his wife, Annie, of Chicago, Ill., and Donald SEIBER of Racine; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Alfonso and her husband, Erick, of Tampa, Fla., Melissa SEIBER and Eddie Albertson, both of Arvada, Colo., Steven Gifford and Kristopher, Amanda and Samantha Hoegsted, all of Union Grove, and Geoffrey Pfeiffer of Racine; and one great-grandchild, Zackery SEIBER of Arvada.
She is also survived by three sisters, Margaret Edwards of St. Petersburg, Fla., Ruby Phillips of Lake City and Bernice Patterson and her husband, Ervin, of LaFollette; four brothers, Ted Phillips of Clinton, Billy Phillips and Gene Phillips and his wife, Linda, all of Oliver Springs, and Junior Phillips and his wife, Lisa, of Lenoir City; two aunts, Oma Cook and Louise Armes; an uncle, Elizk Phillips; and by several nieces and nephews.

A wake was held Sunday night, Dec. 28, in the chapel of Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs.
The funeral was to be held at 1 this afternoon, Dec. 29, at Tuppertown Baptist Church in Oliver Springs with the Rev. Bryson Pride and the Rev. Edwin Phillips officiating.
