A Business Verse

He wants a business verse -
Or poem - that's even worse!
Whose business? - and for real?
Or monkey business?
But there's no appeal to the aesthetic,
It's quite pathetic!
Business - dollars and cents -
Hmmmm! It causes lots of world events.
And I'd be pretty mad
If my fine poems
Brought nothing in but praise,
That's not what pays
The rent!
