He secured his deaconage with Nadrik.
When the gift of his uncle’s wife,
Was bestowed on him as well.
He lead the Shield as the second Monk in it’s history,
Before leaving for the Tower of Conclave to further his study.
And aesthetic of the serpents eye,
he seeks out information.
Jhervais LaFortinas
The ever present (and sometimes not so) Lord of the Crown,
Worked tirelessly to further Gareth’s cause.
A fine if cautious warrior in battle,
He proved his worth often on the field.
But this wily old knight was once young and excited,
Those who recruited him were concerned.
But thought his energy would carry him – as it did,
and his career added to the glory of Gareth.
Many enemies and mistakes he did make,
But as he experienced life he improved with age.
To a Barony in Althainia did he retire to,
but since returned to complete unfinished business.

One of Knighthood’s longest serving Generals; he will be remembered for being replaced from power because of his unwillingness to leave after it became clear he no longer had the drive to continue. At times arrogant, Jhervais was a sublime politician and diplomat who had a sharp tongue and a quicksilver temper as well as being a ferocious warrior and one time Messenger of Nadrik.

A bold and skilful knight while he served at Gareth,
You would do well if he was covering your back.
One of the tri-Champions of Austinian,
The darkness would flee from the light of his blade.
Gareth's first Paladin to leave the Keep,
and took up instead with the sailors of Armada.
