Statement of Purpose
Empowerment is the key to being a successful individual.  As a human service professional, I have an amazing opportunity to promote self respect, self sufficiency and self confidence that will encourage clients to begin taking the steps towards empowering themselves.  By providing an accessable, knowledgeable, and personable environment free of negative criticism, individuals can begin the process of learning to become self sufficient.  My role will be to assist them through the process of finding resources and tools that will help them believe in the decisions they make.

I strongly believe that early intervention will lead to prevention.  The strongest communities are those that work together to support one another.  It truely takes a community to raise a child.  Our children are our most precious gifts as they hold the key to the future.

I will provide:
     -A safe and confidential environment to grow and learn.
     -Behavioral, social and emotional support.
     -A holistic approach when working with individuals.
     -Individuals with needed support and access to services.
     -Cultural sensitivity.
     -A listening ear.

     -Individual and family empowerment.
