To Whom It May Concern:

It is with great pleasure I lend my name for those who would support the application and candidacy of Julie Seholm to gain admission into the Masters of Education program at Western Washington University.

I have Supervised Julie in her position as Youth Care Worker at Birch Bay House since August of 2002, and her level of commitment and compassion to the adolescents we serve and to our program goes above and beyond my expectations on a continual basis.  Julie has successfully blended the tools she has gained in school, work, and volunteer experiences to creatively work with the high-risk youth we serve at Birch Bay House.  With passion, Julie has relentlessly worked to engage, teach, train, and equip the children that have entered our program with the knowledge and life skills that will allow for a better quality of living.

Julie's personality and professionalism allow her to communicate effectively across diverse populations.  She brings a uniqueness that is far too rare in the field today.  She skillfully creates an environment that engenders trust when dealing with co-workers and working with children and always views the needs of those she is working with as paramount.  Her dedication and ability to successfully work within the parameters set forth in her job description is truely commendable.

Without hesitation, I highly recommend Julie Seholm for admit into Western Washington University's Master of Education Program.  I believe Julie is already an asset to human services field, and with further education, she will be even more equipped to successfully touch the lives of those in need.
