| Seg-Way Productions is a group of four friends (BFF's if you will) who all come from the Lunenburg area of Nova Scotia, and make independant films primarily for their own enjoyment. Originally Scott Bailey and Glen Matthews started Low-Budget Productions in 1998 as a joke for their backyard wrestling group Ultimate Wrestling Championship, which Evan Mosher took part in on a few seperate occasions. UWC lasted three years and had 14 "pay-per-views". In Centre Junior High School Scott met Mike Nauss who was starting a radio show (Brew Crew Radio), which Scott, Glen and Evan joined. Brew Crew radio lasted a few episodes before they decided to end it and start an internet based t.v. show titled Help Wanted in their first year of PVEC high school. Thus Garden Hoe Productions was created. The show enjoyed great success as the hits came in but after four episodes, squabbling between the Garden Hoe crew forced an abrupt end to Help Wanted. Today, Mike Nauss, at the helm of Garden Hoe Productions, is enjoying filming and producing the successful LBC Skates franchise. After a few months off, Scott mentioned to Glen and Evan that they should attempt to make their own version of Help Wanted, in the form of an hour long film titled Mugshots. Thus S.E.G.-Way Productions was born (Scott Evan Glen - Way Productions)..Filming started in the Summer of 2002, and the film was wrapped and released December 19th, 2002 to positive critical (or atleast drunken teenager) acclaim. The film sold over 100 copies that went all the way from San Fransisco to France, and was deemed a success. From then on, a couple projects were started, but not finished. But S.E.G.-Way lived on in Film class in school as numerous short films were made. This is where the boys met up with Ryan Creaser who has been involved in all S.E.G.-Way Production films ever since. Now, the gang has officially included Ryan as one of their own and are now called Seg-Way Productions (rather than S.E.G....big change, I know). Scott is attending Acadia, Evan is in Mirimichi, and Ryan and Glen are in Halifax, and through the Winter, they are collectively exchanging ideas and working on a film titled "What Went Wrong?" which is set to start filming in June when they all get back to Lunenburg. There's shit brewing! |
