Gohan - Chapter 1

Chi Chi sat in the waiting room of the hospital. It was a week since the Cell Games had ended. It had been a week since she had lost her husband and almost lost her son. It had been a week since she learned that Goku didn’t want to come back to life. She hurt deeply but she understood his reasoning. He told her he would try to get in touch as much often as King Kai would let him. It had also been a week since Gohan had last spoken a word to anyone. He had gone unconscious shortly after destroying Cell and hadn’t woken up.
She felt a tear slide down he cheek as she thought of what her sweet little boy had been through. He had faced off against one of the most evil creatures to ever exist and had won. However there was a price that he had to pay. Not only the extreme emotional pain he went through and there was more on the way. She didn’t know how he would react when he learned Goku wanted to stay dead. Then there was the more physical manifestation of the battle. He had lost his left arm in the battle.

This caused her great anguish over the past week. Dende couldn’t heal it, for some reason his powers couldn’t do it. Piccolo said that Dende was still young and relatively inexperienced at healing anyone other than other Nameks. They had tried Senzu beans but they didn’t have any affect. Vegeta said, at the wrong moment, that it was the brat’s payment for letting Kakarot die. That had caused Piccolo to nearly throw the Saiyin prince off of the lookout. The doctor’s tried all they could but they were only able to regain about three percent of movement in the boy’s arm.

In about an hour she would be able to go and visit her son. She had no idea how she would break the news to him. The others would arrive shortly. She had thought about having one of them break the news. Krillin, Yamcha, Tien, or Piccolo but she new that she had to do it.

“Chi Chi…”

Chi Chi looked up and saw Krillin standing a few feet away from her, looking nervous.

“Hello Krillin.” Chi Chi said as the ex-monk sat down next to her.

“Dende said he is really eternally sorry he couldn’t heal Gohan.”

“Krillin, Dende has said that about twenty times a day for the last week.” Chi Chi smiled. For a supposed god, Dende certainly didn’t act the part. “Where are the others?”

“Well Yamcha, Tien, and Bulma are on their way. Bulma insisted on going to the gift shop.” Chi Chi chuckled “and Piccolo will make an appearance at some point. He always does.”

“Very true. It’s kinda sweet…” Chi Chi trailed off.

“What is?”

“They way Piccolo worries about Gohan.”

“In a way I suppose it is.”

There was silence for a while between the two. After about three minutes Chi Chi glanced over at the bald man. He was blushing.

“Krillin…are you ok?”

“Heh heh heh…” Krillin put his hand behind his head and blushed harder. “I’m fine…heh heh…why wouldn’t I be?”

“You’re blushing.”

“Oh…I was ummmm….hey Chi Chi…”

“Yes Krillin?”

“I think…I well that is—“

“Mrs. Son?” Krillin was interrupted by a doctor rushing into the waiting room.

“Yes doctor?”

“Your son is…” Before the doctor could finish Chi Chi was out of the waiting room. “awake…
”*~*~*~*~*~*~

Son Gohan lay in his hospital bed staring at the ceiling. Piccolo had just left after explaining everything that had happened since he fought with Cell. He was having trouble understanding what exactly happened and why his father stayed dead. His thought process was interrupted when his mother burst into the room.

“Gohan!!” She yelled as she wrapped her arms around her son’s neck.

“Mom.” Gohan returned the hug and smiled. He felt worlds better now that his mother was there.

“Are you ok son?”

“Yeah. Mom, Piccolo told me everything. Including…” The young demi-saiyin began.

“He did? When?”

“A few minutes before you came in. He’s actually the reason I woke up. He gave me a senzu bean.”

“He did?” Chi Chi sighed in relief. She really didn’t want to have to tell Gohan about his father. “So you already know about your left arm?”

“Yeah.” Gohan rubbed his shoulder. He had lost the arm in the battle with Cell. It was hard when his Namekian friend had broke him the news. However, Piccolo said there must be something else going on because Dende couldn’t heal him. Dende was one of the most powerful Namekian healers to ever have been born.

“Gohan…I’m sorry this had to happen. It isn’t fair. I wish I knew why Dende couldn’t heal your arm.”

“It’s ok mom. It’s not your fault. I talked with Piccolo and he said he thinks something is up. He told me how quickly dad spoke to you guys. He told me King Kai wouldn’t really have strained that badly, so he’s going go check things out.”

“Are you upset about your father?”

“Yeah. I mean…I understand why he is scared for us but still…doesn’t he love us?”

“Of course he does. I’m upset too but that’s just like him you know?”

“I know but still…is it ok to be angry? I mean he’s dead for good this time…” Gohan started to cry. “It’s not fair to leave us alone like that.”

“I know, but we won’t be alone. We have some great friends and support. We’ll be okay. You’re father also left us a gift.”

“Huh? What do you mean?”

“Gohan..” Chi Chi took a depth breath. “I’m pregnant.”

“Huh? How? When? How do you know?”

“Well it happened sometime before the Cell Games. “

“How did you find out so quick?”

“Someone ‘sensed’ another presence near me. We figured it out quickly.” Chi Chi smiled.
Gohan was in shock. He was happy of course but on the other hand he was angry at his father now more than before. Chi Chi sensed this and looked right in her sons eyes.

“Gohan…don’t start getting angry at your father. It’s not like he would know this would happen.”

“I know…” Gohan said as he relaxed “It’s just…the baby won’t know dad and how great of a person he was. And dad won’t get to know his new son or daughter. I don’t know who
I ‘m mad at really. Maybe this is fate? I don’t know. It’s all so confusing.”

“I know honey, but we’ll get through this don’t worry.”

“I know mom…I know…”

*~*~*~*~*~ 1 Year Later~*~*~*~*~*~*

Piccolo watched as Gohan meditated. They were floating in front of the waterfall as they usually did. About three weeks after Gohan got out of the hospital he flew to the lookout demanding Piccolo’s time.

Gohan wanted to train again.

Piccolo was very happy to hear this. He thought that his young protégé wouldn’t want to train after the Cell Games and he was sure Chi Chi wouldn’t let him. So the Namek was rather surprised when Gohan appeared at the lookout.

Piccolo decided that he would focus solely on the boy’s mental strength for a while. He was fragile mentally and Piccolo knew that, he had suffered more than most adults on the planet, let alone most thirteen year olds.

“Gohan.” Piccolo said pulling the young boy out of his trance.

“Yes Piccolo?”

“Do you want to spar now?”

“I thought you’d never ask.”

The two floated down to the ground and took up their fighting stances. Gohan let out a feral scream and powered up to his Super Saiyin form. Piccolo followed suit, letting out a yell of his own and powering up to his max level.

Piccolo made the first move and flew top speed at Gohan. The young demi-saiyin swung his forearm out and blocked his mentor’s punch. Piccolo countered by swinging his leg up into a kick, which Gohan dodged, but barely. The Namekian unleashed a barrage of punches and kicks which Gohan blocked with a certain degree of ease.

Once the young warrior saw an opening he launched his own attack which Piccolo easily countered. Gohan swung out to kick but the Namek grabbed his leg and flung him to the ground. Gohan dropped out of his Super Saiyin form and slowly got up. Piccolo smirked but then Gohan began to power up. He went to his ascended state. Piccolo was almost blown back when the wave of energy hit him.

Gohan looked up at his sensei and smirked then he powered down to his normal level of Super Saiyin, this baffled the elder warrior. Piccolo didn’t have time to ponder his student’s actions as Gohan came at him full force. The flurry of punches that came at the Namek was surprising to say the least.

As the demi-saiyins attacks increased so did his anger. Suddenly Gohan began to slow down and Piccolo was caught off guard by the sudden change in demeanor. Then the young boys attacks ceased and he collapsed on the ground panting. Piccolo then heard the distinct sound of crying coming from his student.

“Get up kid we aren’t done.” Piccolo said gruffly, the crying didn’t stop. It only intensified. The Namek reached down and put a hand on the boys shoulder. He picked up the sobbing boy and flew off towards his house

.~*~*~*~*~*~

Chi Chi was surprised when Piccolo landed outside her house with a very distraught Gohan. She had just put Goten down for a nap and was about to start lunch when she saw the Namek land in her yard. Piccolo explained what happened and then left Gohan to Chi Chi. She lead her son to his room where he continued crying louder and longer than anyone she had ever heard before.

It had been more than an hour before he had clamed down and fallen asleep, luckily Goten had stayed asleep the whole time. The Son matriarch sighed as she stirred the tea she had made herself. She was worried about her son. Every time he went sparring with Piccolo he came back crying. She knew that it had to do with the loss of Goku. The young demi-saiya-jin tried hard to be strong but the fighting reminded him too much of the little time he spent with his father.

“Chi Chi”

She picked her head up quick at the voice and looked around the kitchen for its source.
When she couldn’t find it she went back to her tea and silent musings.

“Chi Chi!”

“W-what?”

“Chi Chi, it’s me..”

“Go…Goku?”

“Yep! It’s me. I’m surprised you didn’t recognize me right away”

“Oh Goku I’m sorry. It’s just Gohan is in pretty bad shape and I wasn’t really focused on much.”

“It’s okay Chi. I’m sorry I haven’t tried to contact you guys sooner but it took me a year to learn telepathy on such a grand scale. King Kai has really been a big help. I’ve been watching you guys from up here I’m really worried about Gohan.”

“Then why can’t you come back?”

“I told you guys. I don’t want some lunatic from my past or some alien coming here to kill me and end up harming you guys. You have no idea how hard it is to stay away and how much I want to come back. I don’t want you guys to get harmed in anyway. I know I’m hurting you guys by staying away, but I’ve been working on projecting myself image wise. So once I get that down It’ll be like I’m there.”

“You really think you can?”

“Yes ma’am” Chi-Chi could almost feel Goku’s smile. “Now I’m going to go talk to Goha—“

“He’s asleep right now. I wouldn’t want you to wake him up. This is sadly the best sleep he’s had since you died.” Chi Chi tried to smile then she did as she remembered something. “Oh Goku would you like to talk to Goten?” The woman ran out of the kitchen and grabbed Goten from his cradle. Luckily the small baby had just woken up. Chi Chi sat back down and cradled the infant in her arms.

“Goten?” Goku asked nervously.

The small demi-saiya-jin gurgled at the sound of his father’s voice, Chi Chi smiled.

“He’s just like you Goku, eats almost as much.” Chi Chi laughed, as did Goku.

“He’s beautiful. Oh man…I gotta go. I’m starting to feel wosey.”

“Oh” Chi Chi’s face fell.

“Don’t worry honey I’ll come back. Soon I’ll be able to sorta be there. Tell Gohan I love him and am very proud of him. Let him know that he can’t be to blame for my death. It was my decision and mine alone. I don’t want him beating himself up over something he had no control over.”

“Okay, I’ll tell him. Goodbye Goku.”

“Goodbye Chi. I love you”

With that Chi Chi could feel Goku’s presence leaving the small house. She felt strangely happy with the leaving of her husband. She looked down at her small son and saw he was staring wide-eyed at the ceiling. He began gurgling and stretching his chubby arms in the air. He opened his mouth and a small cry came out that sounded and awful lot like “Daddy”

~*~*~*~*~*~

The years passed and the son family grew stronger. Over the years Goku learned how to manifest himself as a sort of ghost. This helped the healing process immensely for the small family. Goten got to grow up knowing his dad and Gohan never blamed himself for the loss of his father.

Even though he couldn’t physically interact with them, the elder Son imparted onto his all of his skills and knowledge to his sons. He taught Goten to fly and to shoot a kamehameha wave. He taught Gohan how to use instant transmission and how to control his ascended form better.

As the sixth year after Goku’s passing came about it was announced that Gohan would be attending High School in Satan City. This made Gohan somewhat apprehensive. Even though he had recovered from the loss of his father fairly well he was still a little cold and distant to people outside his close circle of friends.

Chi Chi hopped that going to high school would let Gohan open up and become more like a teenager was supposed to be. Gohan was sure that this wouldn’t happen. Not only was he the strongest being in the universe but he had one arm. It was and easy task to hide his energy, he had his father to thank for that but the lack of a left arm would be impossible to hide. He knew how young people were. He sometimes caught Goten and Trunks staring at where his arm should have been. He never minded because they were young and didn’t mean anything by it. The occurrences of them staring had dwindled lately, probably because they were bored of it. Although at some point the two pintsized terrors decided that it would be cool to draw pictures of Gohan with various attachments as a new left arm. The one he enjoyed the most was the one where he was depicted with one of Piccolo’s arms as his own.

Seven year olds were one thing; teenagers and even some adults would not be so quick to let his handicap be ignored. He knew the questions would come and he had answers for any possible thing they would ask. He also decided it would be best not to get close to anyone. Few people could be trusted with the information he possessed. He was sure any kid he met at school would have it all over the world in a day and he did not want reporters all over his house bugging his family.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~
“GOHAN!”

The young demi-saiya-jin nearly fell out of bed as his mother’s voice pierced his very sensitive ears. He sat up and rubbed the sleep from his eyes. He got off the bed a few minutes later and walked to his closet to pick out his clothes for the day. His eyes fell upon on of his father’s old gis. He picked it along with a long sleeved black shirt to go underneath.
‘No need to draw any unwanted attention to myself by showing off’

He threw the clothes on the bed and took a quick shower. After that he got dressed and walked downstairs where his breakfast was waiting for him. His mother gasped when he walked into the room.

“Gohan, wow, if your hair was different I’d swear you were your father.”

Gohan blushed slightly at his mother’s compliment and sat down to eat his breakfast. The teenaged demi-saiya-jin ate for a few minutes when Gohan noticed it was rather quiet for breakfast time.

“Hey mom, where’s Goten?”

“Huh? Oh he went over to Trunks’ early this morning. They had some “plan” that was supposedly important.”

“Oh boy.”

“What?”

“Expect a call from Bulma later explaining why Goten has to be scraped off the gravity room floor.”

“You mean?”

“Yep…another prank.”

“Oh brother.”

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

“Let’s see…the main office is…ah, here we go.” Gohan pushed the door to the office open and walked in. When he walked to the secretary’s desk he noticed that all noise and movement in the office had stopped.

Everyone was staring at him.

Gohan’s eye’s narrowed as he looked down at the secretary. He knew this would happen, but he didn’t think he’d cause an entire office of people to just stop all movement. He gave the old woman a Vegeta-esque smirk and spoke.

“I’m Son Gohan, a new student, may I have my class schedule please.” He held out his hand as the woman pressed a few keys on her computer and a few seconds later handed Gohan his schedule. He turned and walked towards the door but stopped before he left. “I would appreciate it if the next time I come in, you people show some class and not stare at me."

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Gohan dreaded going to class, if the reaction he got in the main office was any indication then he could barely fathom what a group of teenagers may do. He sighed as he reached his classroom door.

“Today class we will be learn—“The teacher stopped mid sentence as Gohan walked into the room. “Oh, you must be the new student. My name is Mister Radcliff, and you are?”

“Son Gohan.” Gohan stated tersely, he could feel the people in the room staring at where his left arm should be. “And I would appreciate it if you would all stop gawking.” The class focused their eyes on Gohan’s face after that. Although he did hear a few mutterings from the class along the lines of “freak” and “loser”, but he paid them heed. The teacher cleared his throat and the class looked at him.

“Now, Gohan, would you like to tell us about yourself? Anything at all?”

“I’m the son of Son Goku.” An audible gasp was heard from the class. “The greatest fighter in the history of the Budokai.” That got a few laughs which Gohan ignored. He didn’t say anything after that.

“Well, okay. I believe there is an open seat by Erasa, you can go take your seat. Gohan nodded to the teacher and walked to his seat. He heard comments that people made to him. A lot of them were how nerdy he was or what a loser he was for trying to dress like a fighter. The word “poser” was said frequently. Gohan ignored them at sat down next to the blonde girl the teacher had pointed out. Gohan regarded her with a smile and she smiled back. He noticed that she was probably the only person in the class that hadn’t stared at his arm. He figured most people saw her as a dumb blonde, but Gohan had a feeling there was more to this girl than one could find from just looking at her.

“Hi, I’m Erasa” She said extending her right hand. Gohan accepted and smiled again. “It’s nice to meet you. Oh and don’t mind these guys, they’re all a little…petty and ignorant.”

Gohan chuckled at that, yes there was definitely more to her than met the eye. The demi-saiya-jin was about to say something when a rude female voice interrupted him.

“Erasa! Why are you talking to this loser?” A girl peered around the blonde to look Gohan in the face. Gohan’s somewhat cheery face went as cold as Vegeta’s as this new girl yelled at someone who he was considering tolerating.

“Well Videl.” Erasa put on a very bubbly front to this girl. “He’s new and looks lonely. So I figured I’d at least be nice to him.” Erasa looked over at Gohan and winked. Gohan kept his cold face but nodded slightly hoping the blonde would notice.

“But look at him. Thinking he’s the son of a great fighter like Son Goku. He probably doesn’t know anything about him. Do you, loser?”

Gohan didn’t say anything. There was no point, he figured no matter what he said that no one would believe him anyway.

“That’s what I thought. Besides that man used nothing but tricks to win his matches. I’ve seen the tapes, no human could do that. My dad says so and HE saved the world form Cell.”
Gohan gritted his teeth and tuned then ranting girl out. She kept going for a few minutes before he finally spoke.

“Would you please shut up? I’m trying to listen to the teacher.”

The girl, Videl, stared open mouthed at Gohan. It was as if no one had ever told her to shut up before. She mumbled something, which Gohan didn’t quite pickup, and then left him alone for the rest of the class. A few minutes later he heard Videl speak up again to Erasa. The benefits of being a Saiya-jin were very nice sometimes.

“I’m telling you Erasa he’s hiding something from me, from all of us. I’m gonna find out what it is.”

“I don’t know Videl. I don’t think he’s the kind of person that wants people to know his secrets. I’d leave him alone if I were you; it could get you in trouble. I don’t think he cares about your reputation or family ties so I’d let it die.”

“Erasa, stop trying to sound smart. Anyway, I will find out what he is hiding and expose him as a fraud.” Videl seemed very adamant in her statement. Erasa just sighed and turned to Gohan. She scribbled something on a piece of paper and put it on his desk. Gohan looked at it and then picked it up and read it. He gave a small smile and put the note in his pocket. Soon the class was over and Gohan walked out in front of Videl. He had an idea, which was spawned by Erasa’s note. He turned to the black haired girl and spoke to her.

“If not for me then you’d be dead.”

~*~*~*~*~*~

The next day Gohan found himself flying into Satan City. He would have used Instant Transmission but he just wanted to fly. As he was flying down he heard some gun shots, followed by screams. Gohan sighed and flew down to where he heard the noise.
When he landed he saw that the police were surrounding the bank. He walked to one of the officers and asked what was going on.

“There is a hostage situation.”

Gohan sighed again just knowing that he’d be late for class. However he had his father’s sense of justice and decided to save the people. He walked through the police barricade and then into the bank, ignoring the policeman’s shouts for him to stop.

When Gohan entered he noticed that he hadn’t been spotted walking into the bank. He smirked and quickly went to work hunting down the robbers. Un fortunately they spotted him before he spotted them.

“Who the hell are you?” One of the robbers yelled.

“Just a local concerned citizen.” Gohan said as he stood confidently in front of the small gang of five villains. “Now if you don’t mind I have to be at school and don’t really want to fight you guys. So if you could please just surrender now and we can all avoid a confrontation.

“Ha! You expect us to listen to some punk kid with a hero complex.” The leader said as he shot at him. Gohan easily dodged the bullet and flew at the leader and knocked the gun out of his hand.

“I told you I don’t have time for this.” With that, Gohan quickly knocked out the robbers and left them for the police to handle. He exited the bank and found an alley he could Instant Transmission to the school roof from. When he appeared on the roof he quickly made it down the stairs leading down from the roof and into class just before the bell rang.
Class went on for a few minutes before Videl rushed in apologizing for being late. When she sat down she decided it would be fun to glare at Gohan for the entire class. When the bell rang and the class had dispersed, Videl pounced on Gohan.

“I heard about your little act of heroism this morning. What the hell is wrong with you? You could have been killed and then I would have looked bad. Just because you claim that Son Goku is your father doesn’t mean you can play hero. Leave that to real fighters.”
Gohan ignored her and continued to walk to his locker to get his gym clothes. Videl kept close to him as he walked to the locker room and stopped at the door to the boys changing room.

“You can’t come in here.” He said coldly as he walked in and slammed the door in Videl’s face. The fuming girl stomped her foot and made her way to the girls changing room.

~*~*~*~*~*~

“Okay class. Today we will be doing martial arts. Now does anyone here have experience in martial arts?” The gym teacher, Jaque Strappe, said as the class gathered. Only two hands went up.

One was Videl Satan’s.

The other was Son Gohan’s.

“Okay then. Would you two like to spar? You are aloud to go all out.” Both teens nodded and made their way to the ring that had been set up. “Oh, and Videl?”

“Yeah?”

“Don’t hurt the boy okay?”

“Yes sir.”

Gohan growled at the teacher’s statement. He lowered his ki to twice that of Videl’s. He was going to embarrass her and show the class how well the Satan school of martial arts held up against real martial arts.

“Okay, well Gohan. We all know about Videl’s background in fighting. What is yours?”

“I was trained by my father in the Kamesennin style.” Gohan left out the part about being trained in any other style. Knowing that any other style he would mention would get some strange responses.

“Your father was trained by Muten Roshi?” Videl said incredulously. “That’s a laugh. Everybody knows the he doesn’t take on students.” Gohan growled again at Videl.

“Well let’s get started.” The teacher said as the two teens dropped into fighting stances. Gohan was a little angry and decided to have some fun.

Videl made the first move, a kick aimed at Gohan’s face. Gohan easily dodged the slow attack and stepped to the side. This left the class stunned, they had never seen anyone avoid one of Videl’s attacks so easily before. The black haired girl was beyond surprised that someone so weak could avoid her attack. She went back in her stance and waited for Gohan to make a move. She looked at him and he was standing up straight with his arm by his side. He was focused on her though, she could tell. His stare unnerved her greatly. His almost fully black eyes made her shudder internally. Gohan was picking apart he style piece by piece and she had no idea how many flaws she was displaying.

Videl launched at Gohan again but he easily dodged again. This made Videl even angrier.

“Why don’t you fight back?”

“I am. You haven’t hit me, have you? I think I’m doing a pretty good job of it.”

This comment enraged Videl even more. She launched at Gohan with a newfound fury. The demi-saiya-jin dodged easily and a small smile tugged at his lips. Suddenly a punch came flying at his face, he blocked it easily, which caused the class to gasp in amazement.
The gasp wasn’t for the fact that the punch was blocked, but for the fact that he had stopped the best fighter in the school’s punch with his index finger.

“Okay, Okay, I think that’s enough for now. Thank you both.” Mr. Strappe said.
Videl glared as Gohan bowed to her and the teacher and walked back to where the rest of the class was. Gohan sat down at the back of the crowd and tried to drown out the jibes of his classmates.

The rest of gym class passed quickly for Gohan. Even after beating Videl he still hadn’t earned the respect of his peers. Everyone was convinced that Videl had let him win because he was the new kid. This made Gohan despise school even more.
“This is going to be a long year.”

~*~*~*~*~*~

“No.”

“But Sharpener said that he stopped your punch with like a finger or something.”

“I barely hit him.”

“He also said that you couldn’t lay a hand on him. Is that true?”

“No.”

“Yeah but….”

“Erasa!” Videl yelled as she slammed he hand on the table causing the occupants at it to jump. “Shut up about it okay? There is something up with that kid and I’m going to find out what it is.”

“Oh Jesus Videl. Is it really that bad that the kid basically humiliated you AND your father in one fell swoop?”

“He…didn’t…embarrass…me.” The raven haired girl said through gritted teeth.

“You know Videl, you can learn more from losing once than winning all the time.”

“I DIDN”T LOSE!” Videl screamed as she put her fist through the table, breaking it in half. Everyone in the cafeteria looked on in shock as Videl Satan, normally calm no matter what, lost her cool and storm out of the cafeteria. Erasa just sat at her seat, having wisely moved back from the table, smiling to herself.

~*~*~*~*~*~

“Bulma, calm down, it can’t possibly be as bad as you say it is.” Gohan said into the cell phone as he listened to the blue haired genius scream and moan about Trunks and Goten breaking something that was important. “Look, if it’s really that bad call me mom…oh you did…SHE WHAT!? Oh man that’s cruel…and this was her idea? Oh wow, I bet Vegeta was happy…oh he was…he laughed…actually laughed? Wow…well I’ll see you all after I’m done for the day. Okay, love you guys to. Bye.”

Gohan hung up his phone and went back to getting his books out of his locker for last period. He always let his cold façade go when he talked to his family or friends and it felt good to do so. He felt a tap on his shoulder and turned to see Erasa standing behind him. This girl Gohan liked, she seemed to be down to Earth and there was more to her than the “bubbly blonde” act she put up.

“Ah, so that’s the real Son Gohan eh?” Erasa smiled at Gohan’s impression of a deer in head lights.

“How long were you standing there?” Gohan asked as he regained his Vegeta-eqsue persona.

“Oh knock it of, you aren’t as cold as you make yourself out to be.”

“Yes and you aren’t the stupid blonde you make yourself to be.”

“Touché.”

“Look, Erasa, I’m not exactly a big fan of school and the people in it.”

“Ouch, and in front of me even.”

“Actually you are the only person I can even consider tolerating in this drone factory. In fact I’d take a school full of you’s over one Videl Satan any day.”

“Oh, that reminds me. She’s out to find out your secrets or whatever. I think she’s pretty mad about your little show of heroism the other day. Personally I don’t care one way or the other but Videl can be a little…over the top when she thinks someone is hiding something from her.”

“Oh great.”

“Well Gohan, seeing as it’s almost time for school to be out, I will leave you to…yourself I guess.”

“Wait, school’s about to be let out?”

“Uh huh, it’s a half day. There’s some sort of thing for Mr. Satan.”

“Kami, another event for that idiot?”

“Yep.” Erasa smiled at the young demi-saiya-jin.

“Wait. Something’s wrong, you aren’t turning me in for treason. I spoke out against the great Hurcule Satan.”

“To tell the truth Gohan, as much as a I love Videl…her father is a complete idiot.”
With that the two parted ways and a relieved Gohan made his way to the roof. He was stopped shortly after he began when he felt a slight tugging on the back of his shirt. He tried to ignore it and continue walking but whatever was holding onto him wasn’t giving up easy.

“What the hell do you want?” Gohan said, as he turned around and wound up face to face with a rather angry Videl Satan.

“What are you hiding?”

“Huh?”

“You heard me. What are you hiding?”

Gohan felt his ki rise as his anger threatened to take over. He leaned in to Videl, making sure his face was inches away from hers, and whispered into her face.

“None of your fucking business.”

This pissed Videl off. She reached back and tried to slap Gohan. Before Videl knew it her arm was wrenched behind her back and her face was planted into the wall.

“Listen to me and listen to me carefully Miss Satan,” Gohan hissed dangerously in Videl’s ear. “I don’t care what you think but just your father claimed to have beaten Cell and is famous doesn’t mean that you can just order everyone to tell you their secrets. You have secrets, don’t you Videl. Would you enjoy me stalking you to find out? I don’t think so. In fact I think you’d probably call the police on me. Me…well, wou’re just lucky I don’t erase you from this planet.” Gohan powered up to super Saiya-jin quickly to get his point across. He then let go of Videl and watched, with some satisfaction, as she slowly slid down the wall to her knees. As she turned around to face Gohan he was gone. The demi-saiya-jin missed the look of pure shock on the girls face as he walked away.
