This was the first sonic spin off game produced and the only one being reviewed here at the moment because it's the only one with bosses and levels. It is basically a pinball game with four huge levels and you control sonic as a ball (like when he jumps in th adventure games.) The levels are varied and there are puzzle elements as well as bosses at the end of each level. Basically you have to collect a set number of emeralds in each level and then fight a boss. It sounds simple but it is one long hard and fun game. On to the review. . .

LEVELS

There are four in all as well as some bonus levels. The first is the sewage works and has three emeralds to get. It has a mine cart bit and some good cliches such as escaping an alligator if you fall past the flippers. Great stuff. The second being a lava house with cluckers to bounce off amongst other things. probably the worst level but still good. Then the best level, the computer one that is supposed to be inside the mega drive but what the heh. It has some cool bits in it and its real hard. The last level is really hard. It has some tough puzzles and it'll take you a long while to get to the last boss. Overall some great level design but a bit too hard in some areas. Many people are forever stuck on the third level but I ain't that dumb 9/10

BOSSES

The inclusion of bosses is a bit strange but hey! it's sonic! The first boss is this really easy scorpion dude who is fun to beat. The second is this weird robotnik head cloner machine and its pretty good. The third boss is class It's a T.V that clones animals. You have to get inside the thing and bounce around it. The last boss is robotnik in his sock machine. It is kinda hard cos you have to guess alot in it and you never know when to hit him. The bosses are pretty good and I like them all 9/10

MUSIC

The boss music should be playing on this page. It is very good and could rival sonic 2. The other levels have Ok music except for maybe the last level which is pretty good. 8/10

REPLAYABILITY

Once you've played it and completed it you may not come back to it for a while but there is four player meaning you will probably play it quite alot if you can gather around a few mates 6/10

TOTAL

A very good game that perhaps doesn't all that long but it's a fun game.
