| SEGA has been providing services for individuals with disabilities, primarily on the autism spectrum, since 2001. Working with children beginning at age 2, up to adults, Directors Lisa Sarver Huber and Mike Huber have extensive experience and training in ABA, speech and hearing therapies, physical training, and individualized academic programming. SEGA has contracted with school districts as well as state and county programs. |

Sports Gross motor skills - Fine Motor Skills - the social tenets of being part of a team are the emphasis of the group. Balance, strength, flexibility, and endurance are all addressed through the use of a variety of drills. Ball handling skills are practiced on all major sports. This is a rigorous experience that will help your child develop a better understanding of his or her body and what it is capable of, while also socially being exposed to a team dynamic. Social Skills Following Michelle Winner's "I-Laugh" Model and video modeling, includes discriminating between appropriate and inappropriate behavior, developing abstract thought and executive functions, how to get by day in and day out. This program focuses on developing expressive language and thinking skills. Program also includes community field trips. Language, Reading and Writing & Math Individualized academics in small group settings. Specific Skills This group program provides more general practice for all students, enabling them to increase their reading comprehension, writing and study skills. Skills focused on may include phonics and vocabulary, identifying context, comparing and contrasting, getting the facts, finding details, getting the main idea, drawing conclusions, identifying and making inferences, identifying cause and effect, identifying fact and opinion, locating the answer and sequencing. Golf This group's goal is to learn the game of golf well. The fundamental rules, techniques of play, club use, course rules, and proper game etiquette are all addressed. Students practice the skills working toward "game days." On game days, students go out on the course and walk nine holes. Finally at the end of the year, SEGA holds its annual golf tournament in which trophies and prizes are awarded. (Program typically runs May thru September.)
