Guns N’ Roses New Album
When the original band, (including Axl Rose on vocals, Slash on lead
guitar, Izzy Stradlin’ on rhythm guitar, Duff McKagan on bass and Steven
Adler on drums) broke up in the late 90’s, Axl allegedly purchased the
rights to the Guns N’ Roses name, with a series of different musicians.
The other members went their separate ways and formed their own bands,
later to form “Velvet Revolver” with the lead singer of “Stone Temple Pilots”,
Scott Weiland.
Going back to Guns N’ Roses, a new album is set to be released,
but no date is yet released. The name of the new album is “Chinese Democracy”,
and a new song was heard played at the Rock In Rio festival called “Madagascar”.
No one knows what the future holds for one of the most controversial heavy
rock band, but things should start picking up soon.

On Tuesday, January 20th 2004, Iron Maiden will be returning to Montreal at the Bell Center, to continue their Dance of Death World Tour. They already came earlier this year, and now they’re coming back for another wild, non-stop energetic performance. Iron Maiden was formed in London, England in 1976, with Steve Harris on bass, Dave Murray on guitar, Paul Di’Anno on vocals and Doug Sampson on drums. Today only two remain, (Steve Harris & Dave Murray). Along with Bruce Dickinson on vocals, Adrian Smith on 2nd guitar, Janick Gers on 3rd guitar, and Nicko McBrain on drums.

Nine Inch Nails Celebrate 15 Years Of Industrial Metal
15 Years ago, the Nine Inch Nails were born in a Cleveland recording studio and recorded a platinum record called "Pretty Hate Machine", written, played and co-produced by frontman Trent Reznor. The Nine Inch Nails won a grammy for the hit song "Wish". "Happiness In Slavery", however, courted controversy with an almost universally banned video, where performance artist Bob Flanagan gave himself up to be torn apart as slave to a machine, acting out the theme of control common to Reznor's lyrics. Reznor also filmed an unreleased full-length Broken video, which he said "makes 'Happiness In Slavery' look like a Disney movie".

A Vulgar Display of Flowers??
It looks like the cowboys from hell might be headed for the cemetery
gates. Pantera frontman Philip Anselmo said that although the band has
not officially broken up, there are no immediate plans to work together.
"If five or 10 years down the way, [everyone] wants to get together and
do more Pantera music, then we'll see," Anselmo said. "Of course, it would
take some soul searching from all of us."
For now the singer is focusing his attention on his hardcore metal
band Superjoint Ritual, while guitarist Dimebag Darrell and drummer Vinnie
Paul work on their new outfit, New Found Power.
Pantera's last studio album was 2000's Reinventing the Steel. Last
year, after releasing the second disc by his side project Down, Down II,
Anselmo announced that Pantera would return to the studio before the end
of the year. It never happened.

Def Leppard Releases "X"
Def Leppard releases their 11th studio album on July 30th of 2002. Def Leppard formed in the late 70's and released their first album in 1980 and have been a huge success since then. The latest album is called "X". No matter how hard Def Leppard pushed 1999's Euphoria, it just didn't take off. No matter how many times they were on VH-1 in the years separating that album and its successor, 2002's X, the group failed to stay in popular consciousness as an active band — after all, a much-repeated Behind the Music and a made-for-TV biopic aren't the best way to signal that a band is still vital. X isn't likely to change that reputation, either, since much of it sounds like the band is desperate for a hit again.
