Japan Photo Journal, Part 3

 

Here we go again.

 

Item the first: plum blossoms at Osaka Castle, with monks and a harpist.

I like the smell.

 

 

Item the second: skiing at Hakuba. I’m only putting one picture because
they’re all more or less the same.

 

 

And then, the trip to Kyoto. Of course I saw Kinkakuji, the Golden Pavilion:

 

And Kiyomizu, the temple with sacred water (I didn’t drink it).
It was packed even though it was raining that day.

 

At this temple there was a kind of underground path that you could walk through.

They don’t allow pictures, but here’s my artist’s impression:

 

 

Some other scenes from Kyoto: the Buddha coin toss, Stone Lanterns R Us,
a Zen garden, and the Shogun’s palace.

 

And finally, two pictures of the cherry blossoms in Nagoya.
