Syntax: FAR LOOK.
Mana: 2 power.
Simplest of palantir wielding commands - it merely enables you to look at the
static image held within the seeing stone.

Syntax: FAR EXAMINE <item> or FAR EXAMINE <player>.
Mana: 3 power.
Examines in greater detail items in the location of focus.

Syntax: FAR INV.
Mana: 4 power.
Informs you, the stone wielder, what is telekenetically bound by your stone.

Syntax: FAR GET <item>.
Mana: 15 power.
Attempts to hold, by telekinesis, an item within the power of your seeing
stone.

Syntax: FAR DROP.

Syntax: FAR EXITS.
Mana: 2 power.
Gives you a list of exits visible from your location of focal point.

Syntax: FAR STONES.
Mana: No power.
Lists the seeing stones which are in use, including the master and slave
stones and their focal points.

Syntax: FAR INFLUENCE [<location number>].
Mana: 10 power.
Lists out the locations which your seeing stone influences. Since the list can
be very long, it will list twenty at a time. You may optionally specify a
slave stone to view influence held by a slave stone on behalf of its Master.

Syntax: FAR PROBE.
Mana: 10 power.
Allows you to probe an item telekenetically bound to your seeing stone.

Syntax: FAR IMAGE <text>.
Mana: 35 power.
Creates an illusion in the location of focus. The illusion is whatever text is
specified after FAR IMAGE.

Syntax: FAR LISTEN.
Mana: 10 power.
Turns the seeing stone blue and enables all voices to be heard in the chamber
of the stone. Listening does not work through coalesced seeing stones.

Syntax: FAR FACE.
Mana: 5 power.
Weaves a menacing face to ward off strangers and to frighten enemies. Those
present will immediately flee in fear.

Syntax: FAR DARKNESS.
Mana: 65 power.
Darkness snuffs out candles and sources of light, quashes werelights and
destroys light. It has no permanent darkening effect.

Syntax: FAR STARLIGHT.
Mana: 100 power.
Starlight can only be acted outside and at night - it causes a flash of light
which will blind those weaker than you (both players, and creatures).

Syntax: FAR LIGHT.
Mana:   100.
Projects light into a location through the seeing stone, cancelling spiritual
darkness and bathing the location in light. This Farsight does not have any
effect during the Long Night.

Syntax: FAR FOCUS <player> or FAR FOCUS <intelligent creature>.
Mana: 25 power.
Shifts the focus of a seeing stone over great distances.

"TRACK" of Far Sight.
Syntax: FAR TRACK <rune number>.
Mana: 5 power.
This enables you to focus upon runes of tracking. This is done in conjunction
with somebody with the Runes skill; since you track directly to the
owl-shaped tracker runes. There are very few ways to stop the Farsight
tracking, so it is an excellent method of getting your focus into places
where other defences are keeping you out. You must specify the rune number
you wish to track.

Syntax: FAR SAY <vocal message>.
Mana: 5 power.
Causes a ghostly voice to intone a message.

Syntax: FAR FOLLOW <target>.
Mana: 25 power.
Follows the target while he/she remains in the sphere of influence of your
seeing stone.

Syntax: FAR DETECT.
Mana: 20 power.
Detection is a stage about listening in that it detects entry and leave and
major events - a moving image in a stone rather than a static one. Detection
does not work through coalesced stones.

Syntax: FAR HURL <player> or FAR HURL <creature>.
Mana: 50 power.
Hurls an item (which must be held by the seeing stone) at a creature or
player. Damage is done according to the weight of the item.

Syntax: FAR SHATTER.
Mana: 90 power.
Shatter attempts to break whatever item is telekenetically bound by a seeing
stone. Success depends on the strength of the item and the might of the stone
wielder.

Syntax: FAR PUSH <player> <direction> or FAR PUSH <creature> <direction>.
Mana: 35 power.
Pushes a player or a creature in specific directions - off a cliff, for
instance, or into an ambush.

Syntax: FAR MEDITATE [<player>].
Mana: 25 power initially and then a variable, but large amount.
Passes mana from yourself to a group of friends in the location of focus of
your seeing stone. Optionally you may specify the name of a friend and all
your efforts will be focussed upon him or her.

Syntax: FAR ALLOW <stone> followed by those you wish to allow to use a stone
upon which you have imprinted. FAR ALLOW <stone> <guild>, FAR ALLOW <stone>
<city>, FAR ALLOW <stone> <individual> are self explanatory. FAR ALLOW
FRIENDS allows only friends to use the seeing stone, FAR ALLOW ENEMIES allows
those not on your enemies list, or FAR ALLOW <stone> EVERYBODY to remove all
restrictions.

Syntax: FAR ATTACK <direction>.
Mana: 100 power.
Allow you to attack a location bonded to another stone in order that you might
be able to bring the new location under your sphere of influence. This is a
time consuming process and will involve you challenging the might of whoever
is imprinted on the defending stone. If you are attacking from a seeing stone
without bonded locations, you can always attack locations adjacent to your
stone itself, whether or not it holds sway there. You cannot 'attack' using
temporary stones (e.g. those created via Coalescing).

The amount of time it takes to successfully attack will be determined by the
Farsight skill of the attacker, as compared with the Farsight skill of
whoever has imprinted the stone which holds swap over the location being
attacked. Remember that a slave stone's locations retain the strength of
whoever imprinted the slave stone, not whoever has imprinted its master, for
the purposes of determining the length of time for an attack. If the attack
is successful the new location will become part of the sphere of influence of
the attacking stone, or, if the attacking stone is a slave, part of the
sphere of influence of its master.

Syntax: FAR CURSE <target> <curse>.
Mana: 40 power.
Allows you to curse somebody within the focus of your seeing stone.

Syntax: FAR PROJECT <direction>.
Mana:   10.
For faster movement with a seeing stone, you can project your seeing stone
focus in specific directions with great speed.

Syntax: FAR WATCH.
Mana: 100 power.
Watches a location, like FAR LISTEN but with greater level of information.
Watching does not work through a coalesced stone.

Syntax: FAR TRAVERSE.
Mana: 300 power.
Traversal allows you to pass through the seeing stone to the location of
focus. Success depends on the distance travelled, the degree of habitat
change in the focal point, and the skill of the stone wielder. Remember that
a traversal leaves you very vulnerable since only you can go through.

Syntax: FAR CONCENTRATE.
Mana: 500 power.
Concentrates the seeing stone and opens a channel through which a bard can
sing songs of power to defeat your enemies.

Syntax: FAR WITHDRAW <seeing stone>.
Mana: 50 power.
Withdraws your imprint from a seeing stone so that another may imprint his or
her power without hindrance.

Syntax: FAR IMPRINT.
Mana:   400.
Attempts to imprint your image on a seeing stone so that you will be its
master. You will find yourself competing against whoever has last imprinted
on the stone.

Syntax: FAR FREE <seeing stone>.
Mana: 200 power.
Frees a seeing stone which has been enslaved to a master stone. This is a time
consuming process and will involve you challenging the might of whoever is
imprinted on the master stone.

Syntax: FAR NULLIFY.
Mana: 15 power.
Nullification via a seeing stone causes all magic casters to lose whatever
chant they have uttered.

Syntax: FAR COMMAND <player>/<CCC> <command> [<information>].
Mana: 0 power.
Command works in the same way as does ORDER (so type ORDER for a list of
possible commands), save that it is over long distances. Success depends on
loyalty and strength of stone wielder. It is rare to be able to pass on an
order to a player, unless their mind is specifically weakened beforehand.

Syntax: FAR PULL <seeing stone>.
Mana: 75 power.
Pulls the focus of a slave seeing stone to the focus of your master seeing
stone.

Syntax: FAR NEGATE.
Mana: 50 power.
Negates all magical protections from both players and creatures in the
location of focus.
Syntax: FAR NEGATE RITUAL.
Mana: 50 power.
Negates a ritual from the location you are focussed on.

Syntax: FAR BOND <player> or FAR BOND <creature>.
Mana: 50 power.
Enables you to bond waxen images over distance - the image must be wielded by
you, and your target must be visible with the focus of your stone. You must
make the initial bonding in person though to be able to use this ability.

Syntax: FAR SCAR <seeing stone>.
Mana: 40 power.
Scars everybody at the resting place of another seeing stone to teach them a
lesson for challenging your supremacy.

Syntax: FAR EXORCISE.
Mana: 100 power.
Exorcises demons and undead creatures from the location of focus. Success
depends on the might of the undead creature and the skill of the stone
wielder, though each exorcism will weaken the demonic presence.

Syntax: FAR UNSEIZE and FAR SEIZE.
Mana: 35 power.
Unbonds the power of a seeing stone over which you have control from a
location.

Syntax: FAR UNSEIZE and FAR SEIZE.
Mana: 35 power.

refocussed.

Syntax: FAR LOCK <seeing stone>.
Mana: 250 power.
Locks the focus of a slave seeing stone so that it cannot be changed, moved or
refocussed.

Syntax: FAR DRAIN.
Mana: 50 power.
Drains the mana of everybody in your sphere of influence. It is indiscriminate
and will effect both enemies and friends.

Syntax: FAR GIRDLE.
Mana: 500 power.
At the location of your focal point it will bring into being a girdling ritual
to prevent enemies from being able to set foot therein.

Syntax: FAR SHADOW <seeing stone>.
Mana: 200 power.
Pulls a shadow across an enemy seeing stone so that it cannot be looked
through.

Syntax: FAR BURN.
Mana: 50 power.
Burns everybody in the sphere of influence of your seeing stone, attacking
people's health indiscriminately.

Syntax: FAR ENSLAVE <seeing stone>.
Mana: 500 power.
Use this to enslave other stones. The stone you wish to enslave must be in the
focus of your seeing stone. Enslaving is a lengthy process and involves you
challenging the might of the defending stone. Once enslaved, the slave stone
can only move and focus within the sphere of its master stone, and you will
be able to pull, lock, immolate and blacken its focus. The slave stone's
sphere of influence will be inherited by its master (until the slave is
released) for the purposes of many of the ranging Farsight commands.

Syntax: FAR IMMOLATE <seeing stone>.
Mana: 200 power.
Immolates everybody in your enemies list at resting point of your seeing
stone, they burn until they escape the flames.

Syntax: FAR BLACKEN <seeing stone>.
Mana: 1000 power.
Blackens a slave seeing stone so that it cannot be used at all for the period
of an Avalon month. Blackening is a difficult task and often requires even up
to a hundred bouts of concentrated effort before the fates will smile upon
you and your blackening will take effect.
