"Here we see a typical white, male, North American Beaver in the peak of health. After spending decades of field study in the wild, these mysterious and elusive animals slowly granted me the privilege of entering into their strange world. Once thought only a myth and shunned by society, few facts remain about the true nature of these graceful beasts."

"This rarely seen ritual occurs when the adult male senses a rival in the vacinity. Upon making eye contact, the alpha male firmly grabs the groin area and rubs vigorously. In this way, conflicts rarely escalate into physical confronation. Seemingly unnoticed, I watched in awe for several minutes while this transpired."
"In spite of legend, the North American Beaver seldomly shows aggression unless provoked into violent behavior. Regardless, it has been documented that these normally docile creatures are known to go berserk at the shrill sound of young children and have been seen to flail wildly and retreat to wooded areas. Misunderstandings such as these by campers and farmers are the number one cause of injury and disfigurement outside of the wild."
"Generally a nocturnal animal, the North American Beaver is hardly ever seen during the day save only when scavenging for food. However, there have been terrifying reports of encountering a Beaver while traveling on isolated country roads during the midnight hours. As you can see in the picture, the blinding headlights of a passing car temporarily dazes the beast into a frozen position. Confused, the Beaver enguaged in a standoff that lasted for nearly ten minutes."
