Look at my Rockman stuff. It's stufftastic.

I will not sell, give, trade, or otherwise transfer my stuff to you. Before you ask me to give up my hard-earned stuff for a mere pittance, please go sniff glue, contract Ebola Zaire, and die in horrifying melty suffering somewhere very far from me. Thanks.

Also, note that there are a lot of pictures on this page and it will take a while to load via dial-up connections.

Let's start with the toys.

Ironbuster. left to right, rear: All X, Black Zero, Blue
Plated X, Tenguman. left to right, front: Blues, Rockman, Forte. way in the back: Mewtwo
and Piccolo.

I seen these for sale in malls and game stores nowadays. You build them like snap models. They have good joints, are posable, and I believe they come with extra hands to replace their busters. Rockman, Blues, and Forte all came with two busters; one that looks right, and one that's bigger and shoots little plastic marbles. Blues comes with a shield and can carry it on his back. Most of the details are stickers, and Forte's stickers are a real pain in the arse. ...their heads don't stay on well. There was also a Swordman toy, and Rush, but I never got either. For the X series, there are a bazillion different varieties of X and Zero, and a Ride Armor that you can put them in, if you can find and afford it. Blue X and Black Zero are from the Double Impact set, which includes four sets of armor and two "bodies" to put them on. That's hard to find, too. Oh yeah, and I had to paint Forte's feet white... they come black, and he looks pretty stupid with black feet. Spray paint worked fine; these toys are made of good plastic.

I told you I had a lot of toys

Ok. The fat, SD ones were keychains that I took the chains off of. There are eight of those; Kobun, X, Zero, Forte, Trigger, Blues, Rockman, and Roll. The taller, normal ones in the back are a different set of keychains, and there are 1 of those: Dr.Light, Dr.Wily, Roll, Rockman and Rush, Forte, Rockman, Rush, Blues, Fliptop, a Met, X, Zero, X with all his upgrades (which doesn't appear to be in the picture), and Beat. Hmm. The really small ones are Rockman 8 candy toys and there are too many of those to list. I painted them. There are more in a drawer somewhere that I never painted. The last few are a couple of Bulbasaurs, Ivysaur, and another Rockman model. That one came in a set back in 1992 or so (maybe you remember Nintendo Power teasing us with piles of Rockman merchandise that we could desire forever but never own... well, it's in that pile somewhere) and was for Rockman 4. It had Rockman, Rush Coil (with stupid-looking eye stickers), and Fliptop. Had to paint those, too.

ripoff toys suck. click to see back of toys

These are a Hong Kong ripoff of some official toys that I don't have. They're poorly constructed, made of crappy material, and I had to repaint them. Forte had no details on the back, Blues was two different colors of grey and his shield was unpainted, and Rock was some kind of weird grey-blue. They didn't want to be repainted; the material, or some of it, didn't like enamel paint too much. Each toy came with some extra thing; Blues has a shield, Rock can change out his buster for a hand, Forte also had a hand (it's the wrong hand, though), and Duo came with his jetpack. Unfortunately, Duo took a spill when I moved the books he was standing on and his arm joint broke. Bah.

The only Mega Man toys I have. I should have a Fireman too, but there was an extra Megaman on that card instead. Hard PVC plastic, not too shabby.

...um...

This is ...er, hold on.

vroom

Small Battle & Chase toys. They came two per box. These are the only ones I painted. I also have Iceman, Springman, Shadowman, and Napalm Man, most of which are in various stages of painting.

WAI!

Larger Battle & Chase toys. ^_^ These are remote control cars. They aren't very fast and they handle like your grandma's station wagon, but that's to be expected. They came with cones, small plastic ramps, and plastic cards that you're supposed to put enemy stickers on and run over. They even came with batteries. They don't come with force fields, land mines, plasma blasters, or any external moving parts. Mm.

what a weird toy

These are called Battle Brushers. As far as I'm concerned, they're just oddly posed plastic toys; they're supposed to be set in a spinning arena thing where they hit each other a lot and eventually knock each other over. Sounds thrilling. The box is a bit mashed, but that's where they're staying.

wait, this is weirder

A few of you have read the top title on the card and said "whaaa?" Yes! It's true! What you've all been waiting for! Rockman Paper Sumo! You punch them out, fold them, put them on a flat piece of cardboard, shake it, and see who falls or gets out of bounds first. How exciting! It gives me the chills just thinking about the danger and glory and ...yeah, I've reached my sarcasm limit for this sentence. Being that bubbly makes me queasy.

it's loud, too

This is an alarm clock. It's 100% analog, runs on a C battery, and makes a terrible high-pitched ringing when it goes off. ...which is the point, of course.

audio fun

On the left if the sound track to the arcade game, Rockman Power Battle. On the right is this radio drama thing. It's sort of stupid, but it came with a cool sticker.

now you're playing with power

Blah, blah. The top six are the usual Megaman fare available at Funcoland or wherever. I have manuals for all of them and boxes for a couple. The last one is Megaman 3, but it's some European or Australian version. Doesn't work in my Nintendo; I think it's a PAL version and doesn't like my TV... it doesn't seem to be broken, exactly.

16-bit

These are also all complete, except for Rockman Soccer which is cart only.

Famicom

These are all complete a well, except Rockman 5, whch is missing the box. Somehow, Rockman 2 is in perfect condition with not a dent or scrape to be seen. *gloat gloat*

left to right, top to bottom: Rockman 3, Rockman 8, Battle & Chase,
Megaman X4, Tron ni Kobun, Megaman 8, Megaman Legends, Rockman 5, Superadvanture Rockman

Sadly, my modchip is too old to run Rockman 3 and 5, so I can't tell you what they're like. Superadventure Rockman is half movie-watching and half FPS. Weird. Battle & Chase is lots of fun, especially in two-player mode *eyes Wytwolf evilly*, and Tron ni Kobun=Misadventures of Tron Bonne. I didn't think it was going to be released here...

my Genesis is busted...

The first or second Rockman game to hit a Sega system. The Game Gear one might've been first. Not sure. Rockman 8 also came out on Saturn. Blah. This is also complete and I don't see it for sale much.

heh heh heh...

This... is Rockman Power Fighters. ^_^ I need to buy a cabinet for it. I got the cabinet displays and manual, too. Don't ask. The blue manual is for Power Battle, which I almost bought, but was running short on cash and had to forego.

poster

Rockman Battle & Fighters promotional poster. When I get some wallspace, I'll hang it up.

This is a pencil board. It's plastic, has pictures on both sides, and you're supposed to use it as a writing surface under your paper. Pfft.

More of the same. These ones are cardboard, but they are double-sided. I picked the sides I liked best and framed 'em.

This includes seven VCDs of the Megaman cartoon in Chinese (I said don't ask...), the Megaman 3 PC game, and some other Chinese game. I call it Battle Monopoly. It's truly odd. I also have the original Megaman PC game, which came on a 5.25" floppy disk. Not pictured...

Project Spoothead

This was a Xmas gift from Wytwolf a few years ago. She asked me for a list of my favorite Robot Masters and promptly disappeared. Later, she presented me with "Project Spoothead". You'll never find this in a store, sucker. Heh. *pppbbbpbpt*

It's a huge shirt.

Not Rockman, but it's spiffy. It also has a big rip in the side where I tore it while being killed by wrestling with my brother. Ah, well...

mommy, why is that man glowing?

Heh. That's a ley line walker, ley-line-walking. I had to hide this from the line walker in my group. ^_^;

This is a thick notebook of Wytwolf's art, originals and printouts, in plastic sheet holders. Fear the notebook.

I like books

This is 27 volumes of Rockman and Rockman X manga, and two hard cover reference books of the same. The rest are Ranma, Dragon Ball, and Inu Yasha. ...I need another shelf.

almost forgot this one

This booklet sort of thing is the Rockman part of Capcom's "Secret File" series. I dunno anything about the rest of them, and I don't care. It came out about the same time as the Power Fighters arcade game. It's full of pictures and a lot of Japanese text that stretches my knowledge of kanji. Some words from the guy who invented the series and such. I hadn't seen most of the pictures elsewhere.

Stuff I can't find

But wait, there's more... I just don't know where it is. No pictures.

"Mega Man" music CD - released with the cartoon series. It has little to nothing to do with Mega Man, and the music isn't so great, either.

Mega Man 2 novel - Yeah, it's the "Worlds of Power" one. It's a children's book released only in paperback... 1989, I think. I picked it up during my three year stint at the town library. Hey, it was free.

Capcom playing cards - These were sent out as a subscriber bonus with Family Computer magazine in 1992. It features art from four different Capcom titles: Rockman 5, Street Fighter 2, Final Fight 2, and Breath of Fire 2. Hmm... Capcom, King of Sequels. How popular is Rockman? Look at this deck... three Super Famicom games, and Rockman 5.
