| -March 07- It has been announced that the Xpress will be returning for another year of play in the Men's Recreational Softball League on Tuesday nights. -March 07- Wade Il Vento and Shane Whelan have been announced as the newest members to the team's roster. -March 07- Opening day will be April 10 and on April 3 there is a manager's meeting for the league. -April 07- The full season schedule has been released and posted on the game information page. There are a total of 15 games (7 Home, 8 Away). -April 07- Ray Carpenter is out for the season, Mike Cervanak will miss the first four games, Andy Dios has been added to the team roster and Fredd Fleigg has been removed from the roster. -April 07- Seemans Chiropractic wins season opener in a tight battle with a huge 6th inning 8 run comeback. -April 07- The home game against Woodbridge Fire Co. 1 for 4/17/07 has been rained out and will be rescheduled. -April 07- Seemans def. Cibelli's in what was expected to be a forfeit. Shane Whelan played his first official game as well. -April 07- Edgar Lugo, Jeff Welstead, and Mike Farley have been added to the team roster. -May 07- Seemans loses their first game to Down the Hatch. John Beck pitched instead of Tom Zoppi (back injury). Wade Il Vento also made his team debut. -May 07- Three games have passed and each week has been a struggle to field a team...scorekeep has to wonder, how good would we be if everyone made a game? -May 07- Seemans suffers another loss in 5 innings to the defending league champions, JDC Roofing. John Beck resumed his duties and interim pitcher for the injured Tom Zoppi. -May 07- After two tough losses, the Xpress fall twice more to the Colonial-Restaurant Hitmen and Rich's Heating Service. Guy Whelan and Bob Whelan were forced to try their hand at pitching against the Hitmen with the absence of regulars Tom Zoppi and John Beck. -May 07- Xpress' projected record (considering team stays healthy): 9-6 -May 07- The Xpress will make up their 4/17 game on 7/10 in a double header against the Woodbridge Fire Co. 1 -May 07- The Xpress get a much needed victory over McCann Systems. Shane Whelan scored his first career hit and Geno continues to dominate shortstops and third basemen with his bat. -June 07- Scorekeep doesn't feel like updating the website for a while. -July 07- Tom and Nick Zoppi pitch in the double header against the Firehouse and become the first ever brothers on the same team to get a win on the same day. Shane Whelan also records his first extra-base hit ever (triple). -July 07- Rug's and Riffy's beats the crap out of the Xpress as the Xpress continue to search desperately for players that actually care enough to show up to the games. Some people call the manager, that's good, but then there's some other players out there that just don't care anymore. So I don't care about you anymore. -July 07- Guy Whelan throws an after game mini-picnic for the team at his house. Shane Whelan downs three beers and spills another on his rug. |
