The Dragonballs are seven golden balls in Dragonball ,DragonballZ and GT.Each one has a certian amount of stars on them. (up to seven) When you gather all seven you get to make a wish.Depending on which set you use you will be able to make a certian amount of wishes.On earth the Dragon will only grant one wish.On Namek the Dragonballs will grant you three wishes.Later on earth gets a new set of balls that Dende said will grant you two wishes.But in the Buu saga on in the series the Dragon asks for three wishes.I guess Dende found out how to give the Dragonballs more power or something like that.Once the wish is made the Dragonballs will turn into stone for another year.It could be the Nameck year (130 days) or the earth year (365 days).When the guarden of earth dies the Dragonballs turn to stone and don't work.In DragonballGT there are black star Dragonballs.Those balls are scattered accross the universe.When the Dragonballs in GT are used they need to be brought back to the planet in a year that made the last wish or that planet will explode!The wishes the Dragonballs in GT are so powerful no other set of Dragonballs can reverse them.In Dragonball and DragonballZ the Dragon was sumoned 14 times for a grand total of 22 wishes.Please forgive me for not having data on how many times the GT Dragon was summoned.
