the sky is dark the moon is grey
night is on us day by day
the comfort in the darkness wide

the stars are shining beakons in
the great expance that is our sky
and deep within its mystery
black holes and quasars drifting by
alone we are indeed so small
totally insignificant
alone in this great Universe
looking out we're lost in time
lost in a thing that isn't there
time itself gives not a care
for if we're here or if we're not
it doesn't matter all goes on
tiny ants roaming the earth
busy doing all this work
to me it seems so trivial
money's nothing what is worse
pursuit of knowledge there's the key
finding why we're made to see
the great beauty that is our world
lost before its even there
but in this world there are some things
surrounded by great mysteries
these things we never see or hear
like life and love and Universe
of all the things we seem to know
from galaxies to quarks so small
to truely live we'll never know
and then there's you cute little thing
lost in love and in my dreams
not a day goes by i don't think of you
biting your thunb or sitting weird
always bright and full of life
ready to tie my untamed shoe
until the day we meet again
i'll dream of you till the night's end
and when i wake upon the morn
i'll close my eyes and feel your warmth
