| BAND THOUGHTS AND REACTION For our first gig with a whole load of new material (that naturally wasn't finished!) we think we played quite well. The general response was good, and we were asked to play more, though this proved to be a mistake as we feel we were on stage too long. Overall not a bad 'come back' gig. Our second gig, this time with a full set that was (almost) complete. We played at the top of the bill over three other bands..two were good, one was laughable...one was also Will's 'other' band. We'll let you work out which was which for yourselves! Overall we were very pleased with our performance, we were tight and we think we played well. The only real downer was the fact that the support brought in a lot of people (who promtly left after they were done)and fights outside left us to be playing to a half empty room. We still enjoyed ourselves and feel in general the gig was a sucess. Although it's listed here, we can't really call it a gig. Basically a good friend of ours - Mattie was having a birthday party and had been let down, so at the last minute we offered to play for him. Strictly a night of covers, we went back to the old days playing Nirvana, Oasis and Blur. Mattie seemed to have a great time (though the audience was'nt as impressed. Not really a gig, moreso a favor for a friend. 1st gig with the band back to the "proper" line up, and we felt back to normal..lol. White Lie's heavy set put a few people in the moshing mood, which helped us, cos our set started with our less heavy material, getting progresivly heavier as we went on..putting in all the songs off our demo, and a few we hadn't played live before, which went down well. A couple of covers were thrown in, which were cool..Seasons in the Abyss and This Love...2 of our favourite metal songs to cover! We enjoyed ourselves, no matter what anyone else thought, which is the most important thing right? |
