Unitas Marriage Preparation
Program
The majority of the engaged couples have
rated this program a ten on a ten point scale.
The program
needs:
We need a presenting couples.
We need more “table
couples.”
The presenting
couples give a talk, share from their hearts their experience and
facilitate the session five times a year.
The table couples
work with preferably 2 to 3 couples at a table facilitating discussions and
sharing from their hearts for all seven sessions of
a program.
We call both of them
Marriage Ministry Couples (MMCs).
The qualities we
need:
Couples do not have to be saints or be
perfect; no one is.
The main qualities are faith and being a
practicing Catholics
and having a relatively successful marriage
and are willing to share from their hearts.
They may be married five years or more.
And it is best if they are not involved in
too many other things.
Training:
Attend and
participate in the seven sessions of the Unitas
Program with discussion after each session.
When we trained our first
team two and a half years ago, they got so much out of the program that they
wanted to turn it into a marriage enrichment program. Some have attended two programs before
becoming a presenter or being responsible for a table.
Check the schedule for the next program.
