The preparation is for civilly married couples who seek marriage in the church.  It is also appropriate for adults who have been cohabiting for a significant length of time.  Living the sacramental vocation of marriage is a lifelong process of human development and Christian formation.  The benefits of convalidation give couples peace of heart, unity with the Church, reception of the Sacrament of Marriage and God's special grace upon the marriage. Couples must attend all 4 sessions to receive certificate.

 

COUPLES MUST BE REFERRED BY THE PASTOR WHO WILL DISCERN THEIR CANONICAL NEEDS AND ARRANGE FOR THE PRIEST or DEACON WHO WILL BE WITNESS TO THEIR MARRIAGE
