2005 SED Secretary’s Continuing Education

 

The Secretaries meet every two months to exchange ideas and with a speaker for their continuing education. At each meeting it will be decided which topic would be of the most helpful to the secretaries at this time.  Meetings on Fourth Wed. of the month  begin at 10 am & end with lunch at Noon. The meeting place is rotated throughout the deanery.

Convalidation Classes

 

This is preparation for civilly married couples

who seek marriage in the church. 

Living the sacramental vocation of marriage

is a lifelong process of human development and Christian formation.  The benefits of convalidation give couples peace of heart, unity with the Church, reception of the Sacrament of Marriage and God's special grace upon the marriage.

Couples must attend all 4 sessions

to receive certificate

 

COUPLES MUST BE REFERRED BY THE PASTOR WHO WILL DISCERN THEIR CANONICAL NEEDS AND ARRANGE FOR THE PRIEST or DEACON WHO WILL BE WITNESS TO THEIR SACRAMENT OF MARRIAGE.

New Unitas Marriage Ministry Couples

 

Pastors: how about encouraging an “ACTS couple” to accept this as their ministry.

 

Training starts July 14 to August 25, 2005

7:30 pm at Holy Name in the School's

Religious Education Room.

 

The qualities the couple need:

They do not have to be saints or be perfect. The main qualities are faith and being a practicing Catholics and having a relatively successful marriage and are willing to share from their hearts. They may be married five years or more. And it is best if they are not involved in too many other things. Send names to Fr. Maury

 

Days of Spiritual Formation

for All In the Southeast Deanery.

 

 This is an invitation for growth in our discipleship with Jesus and continue his mission of ministry and service to others. Jesus serves and nourishes us through the Eucharist and therefore we are to imitate Him and walk in his footsteps serving and being a source of nourishment through our ministries to the community.
