"I think it's disgusting that bands like A1, Steps and

Westlife get to number one. It's all crap." - Mel C
Pot. Kettle. Black. You do the math.

Check out CD-Wow:

it's just my favourite place to buy new music, and I
thought I'd share this hidden treasure!

*Mark's Music Tip
Sampled. Its a compilation of (mostly) funky 70s tunes
that have been sampled in recent years. Impress
everyone with your clever knowledge of obscure
samples. Thrill to the realisation that songs such as
Modjo's latest hit was nothing more than a cheap rip
off.

*U2
Mingpodder Chris P recommends the U2.com web site:
"Wicked news, music, videos and other fancy shit.
Clever I reckons."
http://www.u2.com

* Spare a thought, for Derek Evans. Derek was part
of the original Steps line-up, but was replaced by
Lee. Apparently, Derek didn't get on with the rest of
the group, in particular H. Funny really, given Lee's
comments this week about wanting to "kick the shit"
out of H.

* A disturbing rumour is circulating that Robbie
Williams, driven half-mad by his failure to crack
America, is considering drastic action. Plans are
afoot for him to link up with the remaining members of
Queen for a huge US tour, with him singing Queen and
Robbie Williams songs.

*captain wacky's boat load of fun
A funny varied site. It is notable for the gallery of
unfortunate cards. Seasonal cards that take freakery
to the nth degree.

*tragibutes
Dont be a flowers non sender. A spin off from Chris
Morris' Blue Jam.

More on the genius that is Chris Morris:

Rumor has it that his next project is a TV adaptation
of TV Go Home (see above).

*Starpark
Star Wars cool. Southpark cool. Combine the two.
Sweeet.

*David Hooper
Crayzee boy David Hooper works at Radio 1, reducing
important news stories into meaningless soundbites
(*2). But he has made his presence well and trully
felt on the web. Check out his wacky world of fun at:

>> Politics <<

*The Presidential Battle Continues...
Your first conspiracy clue: Florida was one of the
first states to toy with an online voting system this
year. Not a big deal - only 300 or so military
guinea-pigs. Of course, now they're a potentially
presidential three hundred.
For the latest, you clould do worse than:

"If we don't succeed, we run the risk of failure."
George W. Bush, Jr.

>> Real Life <<

* In August, the New Hampshire Supreme Court OK'd
worker compensation payments to a state employee, for
"work-related" depression, even though the cause of
the
depression was merely that she had gotten bad
performance reviews. The state appeals board
acknowledged that the employee, Gail Sirviris-Allen,
had been justifiably cited for inaccurate work and a
bad attitude.

>> Drugs News <<

* X-46
A group of Swedish scientists led by Dr Karl Warring
have been working for four years on a "homosexuality
drug". In tests, 2210 European gay men took X-46, and
94% of them started to "act straight" (whatever that
means). The drug's side-effects include headaches and
morning sickness. The inventors warn that X-46 might
also work the other way - making straight users turn
gay. (This story DOES sound a little made up)
