Graphics vs.
Gameplay, and making decisions.
I say that this whole debate is
just stupid. People keep saying that one is more "important" than the
other. I say that neither gameplay nor graphics has a higher
importance than the other. At the same time, I also do not think they
are of equal importance. In my life, graphics and gameplay are just
two factors that help me decide on whether or not to buy a game. If I
go to a store to buy a game, I don't judge my decision on if the game
looks good, or if it has a good storyline, or even the controls. I
merely look at the game, read what's on the box, and if I feel that it
is worth my money, I will buy it. Basing my decision off a never
ending argument would be a very silly thing do, if you ask me.
This brings me to another topic. People
who's decision on whether or not to buy a game is based off of other
people's views. Yes, okay, that's almost hypocritical of me, considering
I write reviews for other people to read, but that's not what I'm trying to say. I
mean that if you go to a store to purchase a video game, and some
random person you were talking to online is influencing your decision
making process, then you could be making a mistake. Just have your own
opinions is all I'm saying.
