The Secret Tweeker Pad

"Lovin' is what I got, I said remember that"

I'm on my last cigarette and it's burnin' to the end
And now the sun has set behind Anaheim and so Sublime
And we've all lost a friend
An addiction gave to us
The sound we love the most
But an addiction took away from us
What we were addicted to the most

I don't even think of Sublime as ska. They're a little rap, a little reggae, a little ska, and a little punk. They're everything. And it's not fake at all. It's pure music, in every way.
- Drew

Sublime is like an interpretation of freedom. Each song is like a celebration.

Sublime is my escape. They just were one of the greatest if not the greatest, bands, and Bradley Nowell was a genius, needless to say. He'll always be a big part of my life.
- Whitney

Other bands will eventually fade away. Sublime will never die. Punk, reggae, dub, ska, folk, ragga...Sublime is the epitome of all music that we all have come to know and love. Bradley was a genius. He had the best voice. His legacy will live on for years to come and sublime will never die. Sublime [is] not dead. Bradley lives on.

Sublime is like a tidal wave of emotions and music....the music carries me to the plain of enlightenment and the lyrics set my heart free.

Bradley Nowell a genius? That's a matter of opinion. Sublime the greatest band ever? Also a matter of opinion. What we all do know for fact is that Sublime managed to capture a very loyal following in their short career. We all love Brad for his talent and free spirit, and we will continue to live our lives differently because of him. If you listen with an open heart and mind, the messages he left us with will last a lifetime. We all know that you never wanted to go out like that. Thanks Brad for all the wisdom and experiences you have given me, and for being the greatest musical influence in my life. Just know that you will never be forgotten and are loved dearly by all the Sublime fans around the world. We miss you bro.

Sublime is a incredible band that will live on through it's fans and records. I was in the 5th or 6th gradewhen I found the beauty of Sublime, and to this day they still florish in my life. about a month ago I was at a party, chillin with some friends down in a river bed, under the stars with a huge bonfire goin' when someone started singin' "What I got" and within seconds the air was filled with voices signin Sublimes music lound and clear. We followed that song by "santaria". Also, every now an then when I'm hangin with my crew, we'll just start singing Sublime's tunes or talkin about how great they were and are. For Sublime is more then just a band, but a way of life and style for their fans. So where ever you may be, if you ever feel the need to listen to Sublime, turn the music up, sing with all your heart, blaze it or drink if ya wish, and inwrap yourself in a Band that has made themselfs a legend that will last for generations.

Sublime isn't just music, its more than that. Its a way of life. Bradley was pure and simple a genious in the truest sense of the word. He was a tramendous writer. He wrote lyrics that meant something. What he said everyone can connect with. He was uncompromising and honest till the end. Bradley had something that no one seems to have discovered since he left. The music lately has become almost an afterthought.

When you listen to him use his most powerful instrument it can carry you away in a way that no other performer has ever been able to. He had a talent to make it seem like every song was directed at you and you alone. And because of that he was more than a musician. He was a friend. Even if you never met him you felt you knew him. Every May 25th and February 22nd pay your homage to Bradley the way he would have wanted it. Just sit back, light one up and crack up the tunes.
