Opie Ortiz,
associated with Sublime and the Skunk family since the early 1990's, started
out as a tattoo artist in Long Beach, California. His artwork has been
featured on Sublime's flyers, handbills, posters, and album covers, including
his most well-known piece, the sun on the cover of 40
oz. to Freedom.
Because Opie's artwork goes largely unnoticed by the general population,
it is hard to come by a gallery of his work. But that's exactly what this
page is trying to be. Included among the five airbrushed works below is a piece first seen in the Sublime documentary Stories, Tales, Lies & Exaggerations and four other unpublished works. |
