Many Sublime websites list this song as a precursor to the marijuana smokers anthem Get Ready, because the two songs contain the same chorus. Unfortunately, nothing could be farther from the truth. While Get Ready chronicles the problems faced by marijuana users in today's society, Foolish Fool is, in essence, a love song.
This song also goes by two different, but similar titles; Foolish Fool and Crazy Fool. It is listed as Foolish Fool here, because that is the title that is listed on the tracklist for it's debut album, the 1998 faux bootleg release, Acoustic: Bradley Nowell & Friends.
