This track, possibly more than any other, shows just how versetile and changing Sublime's music and talent can be. The original studio version of this track, released on 40 oz. to Freedom could be thought of as the epitome of Sublime's style, mixing hip-hop, rap, dub, and reggae all at once, creating a sound that could be heard both on urban hip-hop radio stations and alternative rock channels.
This version manages not only to capture the urgency in Brad's voice, but actually improves on it, when he goes off on wild improvisational tangents, singing without words, but implying more than words ever could. Also, the instrumentals on this track takes what used to be a hip-hop/rap/reggae masterpiece, and translates it perfectly to an acoustic sound. All together, a great track.
