The Sins of Two Fathers
Twenty
years after the end of the last great Sorceress War (the end of FFVIII),
the daughter of Squall and Seifer must come to terms with her own reality--one
of her parents is the world's great hero, the other is its worst betrayer.
She must recognize the past for the future, and live through it.

Yeah, I never thought
I'd be writing a fan fiction piece. And really absolutely enjoy it
myself. And most certainly not about Squall's daughter.
But, as you can read
in the ending notes of Sins, it didn't really start out that
way. I'm glad it wound up as it did.
Kyrie is a self confident
bad-ass chick... with some major insecurities regarding her parents.
Sounds like fun, eh? She's had it tough emotionally, but I think
she'll deal. Personally, I thought the elements of the story were
a natural progression. I mean, I tried not to toy with the already
established Squaresoft characters. I just let it come as it did freely
through my imagination, so I hope I don't get too many "out of character"
complaints. (So far so good--and I'm astounded.) I may be accused
of being just the least bit yaoi obsessive... and I cannot deny that, but
it didn't exactly drive the story. I mean, come on. Rivals,
leather, swords, let's face it, man.
Retribution
and Redemption
Four
years after the end of The Sins of Two Fathers, Kyrie still tries
to fall into a suitable place for herself. Only, fate and past decisions
of her own begin to intervene.

Truth be told, since about
the last fourth of writing Sins, I pretty much knew there would
be a sequel. Now that I write it from the point of view of having
just finished it, I can see the major differences between the two stories.
Retribution
is definitely more of a pure mind fuck. *grin* I enjoyed it, though.
Maybe it raises more questions than it answers... but really, isn't that
the point? Wait, don't answer that...
Descendants
of the Mundane
Two
years after Retribution Nor Redemption, Kyrie and Rodger are settling
down into comfortable routine--something that obviously wasn't meant to
happen. A mysterious stranger makes a mark on their lives, and they
in turn make one on his...

Full circle? Oh hell
no--this is just... "an accident". Not in a bad way. Just in
a "I didn't mean for it to go this way when I started" way. In other
words, it's a worthy successor. Lots of... much more interesting
and blatant stuff going on here, alright. More than just a mind fuck,
let's put it that way. It's a FFVII/FFVIII/Devil May Cry crossover...
sort of. Well, you'll see.
