About the Group
The Secret Hill Singers are a group of Southern Singers from Hollister, NC.  We all represent the Haliwa Saponi Tribe as we are all brothers and cousins.
In early January 1999, a drum was purchased by Dudley Lynch and Tiachi  Richardson.  At that time, the name Secret Hill was chosen from the rich traditions the group would soon represent.  The name Secret Hill is the name of the secret meeting place of the now Haliwa Saponi People during the time of high racial tensions.  Today, we strive to carry on our traditions and live up to the legacy created by our Ancestors; the fallen warriors of the Haliwa Saponi People.
Since the early beginning of our pow wowing experiences as Secret Hill, we have crossed the paths of many groups and individuals that have helped us to get to where we are today.  And for that we would like to say, "
pi: lahuk"!
