Author’s note: this is a companion drabble to ‘Taking the blame’ . This drabble is exactly 100 words, and I am thinking of expanding it to make it a full length fic, but I’m not sure.
Took the blame
"No!"
He heard the scream as they dragged him away.
His team didn’t realise that he was doing this to protect them. It had been Carter’s mistake, but he knew what the punishment was going to be, and having been though similar before, he knew he could save them the trauma of having to be tortured and maybe even killed.
Anyway, Carter was the one that always got them home, so if she was killed they would probably all be stuck.
No one gets left behind, and he knows that they will get him back, no matter what the cost.
