Author’s note: Got the idea for this from a challenge on another list, however this didn’t quite fit their requirements, so I wrote it anyway.

We’ve been stood here for an hour, looking at the wall that appeared in front of us.

“Any ideas?” I ask.

“We could take it though with us and study it,” Daniel suggests.

“Great idea Daniel, except the gate is between us and the Stargate.”

“Oh.”

“Any good suggestions?”

“We could blow it up?” Carter suggests.

“What with?”

“This could take a while sir.”

Teal’c barges past us, walks up to the gate, and blows a hole in it with his staff weapon.

“Or we could do that,” I comment, wondering why we didn’t try that in the first place.
