Jack looked up as Sam walked into his office, confused by the missing decoration.
"I’m sure there was mistletoe there before."
She sighed. "The Asgard took it."
"What do you mean the Asgard took all the mistletoe?"
"Thor scared a new recruit who was putting some up. He decided it may make a good fuel source and disappeared with it all."
Jack ran his hand through his hair. "I don’t suppose we’re getting it back?"
As if on cue his office was filled with mistletoe.
He grinned. "This’ll mean a lot of kisses."
She laughed, moving towards him. "Yes Sir."

"What do you mean the Asgard took all the mistletoe?"
"They thought they might be able to use it to barter for Sg-1’s lives. And as they only beamed it all in to get you and Colonel Carter kissing, they felt you wouldn’t mind if it was used to save her life instead."
Jack nodded, refusing to lift his head from the pile of reports he was hiding under.
"I’m sure they’ll be fine General, be back in time for Christmas."
He didn’t reply, too lost in the fear that maybe they’d used up all their miracles for this year.
