"Jack, please, don’t do this!"
"I have to." He kissed her briefly on the forehead before picking up his gun and heading back into the battlefield.
She gasped, rolling over, he’d been right; her leg was definitely broken.
Gritting her teeth she dragged herself to the tree line, needing to see who was winning, how Jack was doing.
She smiled as she saw he taking down one of the Jaffa before screaming as he was hit from behind, stumbling towards her position, collapsing in front of her.
She pulled herself to him, resting his head in her arms, crying silently.
