Author’s note: LCTC wanted more fics that involved Jacob and Jack and Sam's relationship so here one is.
SG-1 sat in the alpha site's commissary, enjoying some quality time together.
"I can't believe Hammond gave us time off," Daniel grinned, sipping at his coffee.
"He didn't give us time off Danny boy, Carter is running some very important experiments on some doohickeys from somewhere important that she can only do here…or something like that, right Carter?"
She laughed, rolling her eyes. "Hammond thought it was about time we got a break, and this was the perfect opportunity. We all get to relax, Teal'c gets to see his son and I get to see my Dad."
"And we've survived three days without a single Tok'ra or Jaffa plot to ruin our fun." Jack mentioned, catching Sam's arm as she tried to smack him. "Not nice Carter."
"I would've done the same if I was sat next to you," Daniel pointed out, ignoring the glare sent across the table at him.
"Hey, it's true. Everytime we've been within distance of the Jaffa or Tok'ra, they've had us on some crazy scheme that's nearly gotten us killed."
"Indeed, O'Neill is correct." Teal'c agreed, sitting next to Daniel.
"Hey Teal'c, how's Ry'ac?"
"He is well Major Carter. Your father is looking for you, he appeared in a state of shock."
Sam and Jack shared a concerned look as Daniel smirked behind his coffee cup. "I wonder which rumour he heard?"
"Not funny Daniel. He'll kill me." Jack jumped up, intent on hiding until he could escape. He turned around, finding a body blocking his path.
"Going somewhere Jack?"
Jack sat back down, resisting the urge to place his head in his hands. "Of course not Jacob."
"Hi Dad." Sam tried to smile, but the look of annoyance on her father's face stopped her.
"Mind if I join you?" Jacob asked; sitting himself down before anyone could answer. "So what were you discussing before I interrupted?"
"Jack was just commenting how the Tok'ra haven't tried to send us on another suicide mission yet." Daniel explained happily.
"Oh really. I'll have to see what I can do about that." Jacob raised an eyebrow at Jack, who just scowled at Daniel.
"So, Dad, Teal'c said you were looking for me?" Sam asked, deciding that the sooner this was sorted out, the sooner she could get back to enjoying her blue jello.
"Yes, I heard the most interesting thing from one of the SG team members. He mentioned something about you and Jack being married…"
The whole table fell silent, looking at each other in confusion until Daniel burst out laughing.
"I wasn't joking Daniel."
"I know, it's just…I'd forgotten...Jack…in a dress…" He collapsed onto the table, crying tears of laughter. Sam and Teal'c shared a look, both breaking out into grins as Jack blushed at the memory.
"What does Jack being in a dress have to do with them being married?" Jacob asked, wondering whether he even wanted to know the answer.
"O'Neill was required to wear a dress for the ceremony. It was most enjoyable to watch."
Jacob turned to look at Sam. "You two got married?"
She winced, "Kinda."
Jacob jumped out of his seat, banging his hands on the table. "I can't believe you two got married and didn't invite me!"
"It's not like it was planned, or even on Earth for that matter." Jack pointed out.
Jacob sat back down, a look of confusion on his face. "But you did get married?"
"It depends what you mean Dad, we went through a marriage ceremony on one of our recent away missions, to appease the locals, but legally on Earth we're not married."
"It was the best option if we wanted to keep our heads attached to our shoulders."
Jacob nodded in understanding. "Ok, but I want an invite to the Earth one."
Sam and Jack shared a look, unsure of what to make of that. "Dad, we're not getting married, we're not even allowed to be in a relationship."
He grinned. "Not yet. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go see if there are any 'suicide missions' for my future son in law and his team to complete, we wouldn't want to disappoint." Jacob rose, whistling as he walked out of the commissary, leaving SG-1 in stunned silence.
