Chapter 3
Mendo
She was tall and aqua greed with long legs and her body was wrapped in green vines, her arms were crossed and her long claws were tapping on her arms. Her hair was seemed to be the bodies of snakes with rattles at the ends of them that ended above her waist. Her eyes were shut except one that lay in the centre of her forehead. �Who are you?� Goku asked.
Trunks dodged her blasts before going at her and hitting her, he fell back and he blasted her. She dodged it before flying toward him, the two then engaged in combat through blasts and fists. Kana spun around to avoid one of Trunks� blast and kicked him in the face. He fell down to the ground but immediately got up and went for her again. Suddenly they felt a jolt. They immediately stopped �What was that?� Trunks asked.
Gohan slammed into the room of time, but quickly came to his feet as he went for Mendo again. Mendo blocked his every move. Suddenly Gohan got a shot it. Mendo flew back she then reached up and wiped the blood from her lip �Well she said �I can see you�re hiding you�re true power from me� she said �Come on then. Come with it.�
Kelry raced across the canyons, past rivers and mountains. His determination was pushing him faster and faster, he searched for the cave they�d past before they�d come across Kater. �Where is it?� he thought.
Goku looked to Piccolo and Vegeta, then down to his fallen friends and family �Well boys, it�s just us now� he said.
Sweat poured down his face and body, he felt like it was a hundred degrees, his muscles were weak and he was ready to fall over, he could only imagine what she felt like. �Ready?� he asked.
Piccolo, Vegeta, and Goku cried out as he blasted at Mendo. A energy shield surrounded Mendo as blasts bounced off. The then attacked her with what they had. But non could penetrate her.
�I am the one who is going to destroy you� she said �I see now that Kana is out of the way�just like Trunks. Now nothing should hold me back.�
Goku glared, he then flew up to her level �Listen� he said �I know you want to fight, but we don�t have to. You can leave in peace now.�
�Peace?� she asked �Peace? I hate the word, as I hate love, all humans�and you.�
Everyone then attacked. Blasts surrounded her and exploded into one another as they made a cloud of smoke that covered her completely. Everyone then stopped �Did we get her?� Yamcha asked.
�No�but it was a good try� they heard her say.
They all watched as the smoke cleared and saw Mendo standing there like she was board. �My turn� she said.
Everyone flew up and Mendo took her shots hitting Yamcha and Krillin, they were blasted back as the others avoided the shots as best they could. Mendo took this chance to catch the falling Yamcha and wrap him in her tentacle like hair �Yamcha!� Goku cried.
Yamcha cried out as Mendo wrapped him in her hair �I always enjoyed a solid meal� she said as she touched him with her rattles at the end of her hair. Yamcha screamed as his power and self was absorbed into her. When she was finished there was nothing but stone left. Everyone watched in horror as their friend was destroyed in front of them when she blasted the stone. �NOOO!� Pour called �Yamcha!�
She tried to fly to her friend but Chaotzu grabbed him and held him back. �Mendo smiled at them in mockery �Nice meal� she said �who�s next.�
�You�ll pay for that!� Tien called to her.
�I will?� she asked �And who�s going to make me pay? You? Ha! That�s a laughable concept.�
�Tien don�t let your emotions get in the way!� Piccolo called.
Tien nodded �I won�t� he then dove at Mendo.
But Mendo was too fast, she simply moved out of the way, �To slow boy� she said.
She then tried to hit him with her tentacles but he dodged them. He grabbed one and blasted it off. Mendo cried out in pain as the tentacle swarmed around with no rattle. �Those don�t grow back!� she screamed.
The end of the tentacle grew back with no rattle. Tien looked to the rattle in his hand and an idea came out. He then than dove into Mendo and tried his best to cut off as many ends as he could. Mendo was amazed at his quickness but soon grabbed a hold of his neck, lifted him up, then blasted him. Tien�s eyes widened in pain as the shot went threw him, he then fell down. Everyone cried out for their fallen friend. �No Tien!� Chautzu cried.
He watched helplessly as Tien fell to the ground, he then dove down.
Mendo then turned to the group �Who�s next?�
Goku�s hands were clenched in anger as his teeth ground together. Goten then went Super Saiyan and dove at Mendo �Goten! No!� Goku cried.
Goten didn�t listen as he went for Mendo, the two then engaged in a large fist fight that Mendo quickly dodged or blocked. She then disappeared and appeared before Goten and punched his stomach.
Goten�s world exploded in a flash of pain. Mendo then lifted her arms and quickly punched him down. He fell and landed beside Tien unconscious at Dende�s. �The competition�s getting better� Mendo said �Though this is amusing I hope it gets more challenging.�
Kana looked around �I don�t know.�
�Are you sure� Gohan asked.
She only smirked �Please.�
�Very well then� He then started to build his power.
�Is this smart so early in the fight?� JR asked.
Goku looked down as Gohan built his power �Not really� he said �But Gohan�s old enough to know what he�s doing. He has a plan.�
Piccolo watched intensely as Gohan quickly made it to his point then stood in all his glory as Mendo smiled. Gohan then disappeared. Mendo quicly looked around, he then appeared beside her and hit her down, she fell and he quickly appeared by her again to hit her. Suddenly she disappeared as Gohan did, the two then spuraticly appeared fighting, Mendo tried to hit him with her tentacles but failed as he blasted at her, she moved and pounded him in the stomach. Gohan gasped out but quickly over came the pain to land a punch of his own. The two again then engaged in a fist fight. They then backed up to begin to blast one another. Piccolo looked to the others �She�s playing with him! Waiting for the right time to get him.�
Goku looked to his friend then back to Gohan �Then what is he doing?�
�Are you both this na�ve?� Vegeta asked �He�s trying to find her weak spots. He�s showing us her style of fighting so we know what we�re up against. He knows he�s going to be as easily discarded as Goten and the others when she gets board of him�but at least we would know how she fights. Even if she�s playing around.�
Suddenly Gohan hit Mendo with a punch before blasting her back. She then looked up at him with angry eyes �Well now� she said trying to hide it �I can see there�s more to be expected of you than games.�
�More than you know� Gohan replied �And your opponents will only get stronger.�
Mendo smiled �I hope so, I�m getting board of you.�
Suddenly she started circling him. Goku sensed her game and shouted to his son �Gohan! Get out of there!�
But it was too late, she now surrounded him in a tornado that got smaller and smaller, then covered him in vines. Gohan was trapped suddenly the vines began to glow and exploded. Everyone turned to block the light. Mendo stood there along �He proved unworthy� she said. Everyone looked down to see Gohan lying beside the others.
�Next� she said.
Piccolo looked down to realise Kelry was gone. �Where�s Kelry?� he asked.
The others smirked �The way I figure it is, we can buy time until Trunks and Kana came back from the chamber, Kelry gets back with what or whoever he left for and the boys wake up.�
�And how will we do that?� Piccolo asked.
Vegeta smiled �Juggle.�
She stood there with balls surrounding her arms, legs, and head. She took a soothing breath �Yeah� she said.
He then let loose several energy blasts that formed a cloud around her. He then rested and took the time to breath while the clouds cleared. She stood there with no balls surrounding her. �Not bad� she said.
�It�s been 16 hours� Trunks said �We should break around 20.�
She nodded �I�ll get the swords.�
Trunks nodded, she then turned and dug into the weapons before pulling out two swords. �Let�s see how you do with this.�
�Does Mendo have one?�
�Not regularly. But sometimes she uses one.�
Trunks nodded and took his. �Why haven�t you used that?� he asked pointing to her whip.
�That�s only for emergencies� she replied �Ready?�
Trunks nodded.
She nodded as the two charged at one another, as they hit fire exploded between the blades.
Yajerobi�s head came out from he bushes as he ran to Gohan. �Gohan?� he asked.
He then pulled out a bag of sensu beans and gave one to Gohan. When he saw Gohan begin to move he went to Goten then to Tien. The three got up �Yamcha?� Tien called.
The three saw the pile of stones surrounded them. �I�ll pick them all up� Yajerobi said
�Maybe Dende can do something.�
The three nodded then looked up at the fight �Where�s Kelry?� Gohan asked.
�He left� Yajerobi said �he told me he had to find someone.�
The three nodded �Well it�s time to get back in there� Goten said.
�Yeah, and this time we won�t be so na�ve� Tien announced.
�Let�s do this� Gohan smiled.
The three then dove towards Mendo.
