Chapter 2
Preparing For War

Trunks ducked from a shot and flipped to miss another one, Goku then flew up and they began to fight. Another shot was fired and the two separated, turned and shot back at Kana who was in the hair, Goten then flew up as SSJ and attacked her.
She quickly turned and blocked him and punched him to the ground. Gohan quickly followed behind Goten and attacked her, but she quickly threw him to the ground. Jr then tried a crack at her but was like his brothers dispensed of easily, suddenly Goku showed up in front of her as SSJ3. She looked down to see Trunks fighting Goten and Gohan before turning and smiling at him. �Let�s see what you got� Goku smiled.
�Gladly� she smirked.
She then began to build her power level.

Vegeta and Piccolo both attacked a SS2 Kelry at the same time. Kelry blocked both of them as best he could but when Vegeta turned SSJ2 himself he was quickly throw down, Piccolo then turned on Vegeta and the two fought. Kelry looked up at them and quickly got back to his feet and attacked again, he went for Vegeta with a distructo disc, Vegeta dodged it as he felt it coming on and it hit Piccolo. Piccolo turned and shot at Kelry, the three fought without stopping and without breaks each knowing the danger that lay ahead, and the limits needing to be stretched.

Goten, Gohan, Jr, and Trunks all stood in awe with their jaws on the ground. �C-can you s-see them yet?� Gohan asked.
They all shook their heads �I-I feel them� Goten replied �But it�s like�like, like their not even there. Like they�re faster than light.�
Goku and Kana�s speed was hard to keep track of as they fought but their power levels were unmistakeable. The two had been going at it for the past few hours with out any signs of slowing down.
Trunks then shrugged �Well I�m not about to let the two of them have all the fun.�
He then shot a energy blast at Goten who dodged it and the two began fighting.
Jr then did the same with Gohan and the brothers launched into combat. Goku stopped and smiled �It is clear that you are a very worthy opponent.� She stopped and smiled the same, herself being a SSJ3. �I agree, it has been awhile since I�ve met a friendly opponent who is able to suit my own power.� �Well, I�m glad to have met you.�
She smiled brightly at him �It has been such a long time since I�ve met a man like you.�
Goku seemed confused �What do you mean?�
�Well you are so pure hearted�a little naive but it�s only because you think everyone is or should be like you. You laugh when people make fun of you, you see humor in everything, and you have such a brilliant light about you. It�s amazing how the world got along without even your personality. You are such a wonderful person to be around...I can see now why ChiChi loved you so much, and why she misses you so.�
Goku looked down "How...how is she doing?"
Kana shook her head "Not good...well, she's alright, we take care of her...but...after Gohan died...she was so heartbroken."
Goku shook his head "I wish there was some way we could..."
"We're thinking too much" she said "Shall we begin again or include them this time?�
She motioned to the others on the ground.
Goku simply smiled.

Silence surrounded the three figures as they stood, staring one another down. Power could be felt so high between them that electricity was flowing in the spaces between them. A movement was made, then a green hand reached out to slam the movement down. �Do not move� Piccolo said.
Vegeta looked to the contact between Kelry and Piccolo, and couldn�t help but feel jealous of the namek. His eyes narrowed in anger, he then realised what he was doing and quickly went back to the position he had previously been in.
Piccolo looked to Vegeta, he could feel his anger�his jealousy. It was obvious but he then saw Vegeta quickly return to his position. The three again then stood completely still, as they awaited each other�s next move.

Kana screamed as she sent a shock wave at Goku, Goku dodged it and then went head first at her. Suddenly two shock waves zoomed by them. They looked to each other in shock then to the direction the blasts had come. They then looked to see Gotenks there, with a smirk on his face. �We decided it we were stronger like this� he said.
Goku looked to Kana, Kana just smirked. �Let�s see what you�ve got� she said. Gotenks nodded then went straight for her.
Goku powered down then went down and sat beside Jr. �Any bets?� he asked. Jr smirked and held up a fish �I�ve got Gotenks.�
Goku smiled �Well I�ve been fighting her for the past few hours�and I think she�s going to whip butt.�
Jr. just smiled.
The turned to watch as Gotenks and Kana went at it, Gotenks used most of his techniques and almost got her but she was too fast. Kana also used mostly known techniques but couldn�t touch Gotenks. Suddenly Gotenks surrounded Kana and trapped her in a galactic donut, �Your trapped�if this were a real fight I could kill you.�
Kana struggled for a bit before looking up at Gotenks who was a little further away. She then struggled a little more before smirking �You think you have me?� she asked.
Gotenks only smirked.
Kana�s smile then got bigger �I think it�s me�who has you.�
Suddenly the ring around her began to disintegrate, and melted into her body. Gotenk�s jaw dropped �What�how did you do that! What did you do?�
The ring disappeared into her body, she then stayed still for a moment before disappearing and reappearing behind Gotenks and then began spinning around him, he tried to move but wherever he went the spiral followed, eventually it began to get smaller, and smaller, squeezing him before suddenly there was a flash of light.
Goku and Jr. both shielded their eyes away. When they looked back Kana stood over Goten and Trunks who were both unconscious on the ground. She looked back up at Goku �Nothing to it.�

The next day� Everyone stood at the door of the Spirit room awaiting for the door to open. Goten sighed �How long is this going to take?�
Kana looked at her watch �They should be coming out any minute. I wonder how they did.�
Goku smiled �Knowing Piccolo and Vegeta I�m guessing their powers have increased on their pure hatred for each other. Yeah those two never let up on one another.�
�Actually I was wondering about Kelry. He�s never been away from T�his father and I for longer than a few hours. A year seemed a little extreme for me.�
Trunks looked to her �Who is his dad anyways? Is he a Sayian?�
Kana nervously looked to Goku before looking back at Trunks �Well�yeah��
�So more Saiyans did survive?� Goten asked.
Kana became even more nervous �No.�
�Well you said there was only Trunks and you there right?� Bulma asked.
�Yeah.�
They all seemed confused before Trunks spoke up �Well then who�.�
Suddenly the door opened. Everyone stood up as they looked to the door, and Kelry stepped out. He walked strong and stiffly with power coursing from him they all felt. Piccolo and Vegeta followed, each with their own power�s hightened and proud looks at Kelry. Vegeta with his own proud look no one had ever seen.�
�How�d you do?� Goku asked.
The three smiled �Alright� Piccolo replied.
Goku nodded �Alright Boys, let�s go.�
Goten, Goku Jr., and Gohan all then scrambled for the door, they all got stuck for a few moments while shouting at each other to let them in first. Goku smiled and waved at everyone �See you in a year.�
�See you tomorrow� Kana called.
Goku walked in and the door closed.
Immediately Kelry ran to his mom and hugged her. �I missed you so much mommy� he said.
Kana smiled down at him �I missed you too.�
.Vegeta turned to Kana �He�s good�but not good enough�yet.�
She turned �I know, but he�s almost pure saiyan. He can do it.�
�So let�s keep training� Piccolo told them.
Trunks turned to them, he knew he wasn�t as evolved as the rest of them, but he�d try as hard as he could to be. At that moment Kana turned to him, she smiled as if she knew what he was thinking. �Shall we?� she asked.
Trunks only nodded. Vegeta stepped between them glaring at her �So have you been training?� he asked.
She looked ot him �No, I was sitting here making out with Trunks the entire time�you�re invited to the wedding after much chiding on Trunks� part.�
�Why you little!� Vegeta turned Super Sayian and went after her. He attacked her and she blocked him as best she could but had to turn SSJ to continue. He continued to attack her, Piccolo, Trunks and Kelry just stood by and watched. All three impressed by the power the other�s were showing.
�Well I guess we�re still training� Kelry said.

Back at Capsil Corp� Pan threw a shot at 18. She quickly dodged it and threw one of her own, Pan dodged it and the two began fighting as Chichi looked out at the two fighting and sighed. �They�re at it again, another war to fight.�
Bulma and Bra sat on the couch, Bra eating donuts and Bulma drinking tea. �I think it�s good, I mean it could be worse. They could not care and let the world be destroyed, at least they�re trying� Bulma told her.
Chi Chi shook her head �I keep losing my husband and children��
�And getting them back.�
�The POINT is�I don�t know if I can lose them again and take it.�
Bulma nodded �I understand, it�s hard to lose those you love�but this was our choice to enter this world with them.�
Chi Chi sighed �I wish it would be all over some day��

Meanwhile� Goku shot at Gohan as the two began to fight, Goten and Goku Jr fought, they threw shock waves and eventually got into it with Goku and Gohan.

Trunks flew back and shot Vegeta who ducked and threw one of his own. Trunks quickly moved and Vegeta�s wave hit Kana, she was slammed back and hit the ground. She immediately came from the ground and attacked Vegeta, the two rumbled around and Kana was pushed into Piccolo, Piccolo tried to hold her back but she pushed away from him and attacked Vegeta. Soon Piccolo, Kelry, and Piccolo weren�t even trying ot join in, they just watched as Vegeta and Kana tried to destroy each other, �What�s with those two?� Trunks asked.
�Looks like Vegeta can�t take the competition� Piccolo replied.
Trunks watched as the two went at it like they were old enemies �No, it has to be something deeper.�
Piccolo chuckled ��You have no idea kid� he said..

Goku ran through a huge tunnel, a tunnel that went on and on, never ending. Suddenly Piccolo appeared in front of him, �Piccolo!� he said �What��
�It�s not how it seems� Piccolo told him.
�Huh? What�s not how it seems? Piccolo, what�s not what it seems?�
Piccolo didn�t reply, he just stared at Goku with menacing eyes. �It�s not what it seems�
He then faded and Goku fell, he fell and feel, then hit the ground.
He looked around the room, everyone he loved, everyone he cared for�was dead.
All on the ground, scattered around, he then looked to see a figure at the end of the bodies, a person crouched down shaking. He walked up �Hey. Wh-what happened?�
He waited for an answer but the figure didn�t move. He reached down and shook the person. They spun around and he jumped back. It was Kana! Tears were streaking down her face, and fear in her eyes.
�Kana!� he said �What happened?�
She opened her mouth to reply when suddenly a sword ran threw her. She gasped and the sword cut her in half, Goku cried out as she fell to the ground. Goku looked up to see two glowing red eyes.
�Daddy!� it said.
�What!�
�Daddy! Daddy wake up!�
Goku�s eyes slowly opened to see Goten, Gohan, and Jr. all staring at him. �Hey!� he said �How�s it going?�
Gohan wiped his forehead �Better than you, looks like your fever is going to break.�
Goku nodded �That�s good.�

Trunks took a big bite out of his sandwich and looked over and Kana and Vegeta. They were sitting on opposite sides of the picnic table slowly taking bites of their food as they glared at one another. Even though there could was humour seen in Kana�s eyes.
He shook his head �Why don�t they like each other?�
He looked down at Kelry �I don�t know� he replied �Mommy say�s she doesn�t like airgent people�is that him?�
Trunks smiled �He�s proud�that�s all.�
Piccolo sat nearby meditating. Kelry looked to him �He�s the same. Not much different.�
�There�s a big difference. Piccolo�s all about discipline, and honour. My dad�hes� all about himself�pride.�
�Grandma say�s he died to save the earth�was that for himself too?�
Trunks looked to him and smiled then looked back to Vegeta �Sometimes he�ll surprise you�wait�Grandma?�
Kelry nodded as he took a bite from his sandwich. �Yeah Grandma B��
�Kelry!� he turned to see his mom.
�Come here� she said.
Kelry shrugged at Trunks then walked to his mom. Trunks watched as she interacted with Kelry and smiled. She was a beautiful woman, and he couldn�t help be attracted to her. She was loyal and kind, but hard and prideful, she respected those around her, but stoo up for herself whenever anyone tried to control her. She truly was one of a kind. �What are you gawking at!�
He griminced �Nothing dad� he said.
Vegeta sat down beside him and glared at Kana �I don�t want you going near that girl��
�Dad she�s one of us� Trunks replied.
Vegeta sneered �That doesn�t matter. I don�t approve of her, and you WILL obey me.�
Trunks turned and gave her one last look.

Piccolo�s mind wasn�t on the picnic, or the conversation he�d over heard. It was on the battle ahead, and on the battles before. He didn�t like to think of the past since he really couldn�t and wouldn�t� change it. But sometimes did. Sometimes he�d sid and remember how it started�how he started, and somehow ended up here. He began fighting Goku, now he was trying to protect him. He heard a noise beside him and saw Kana standing nearby looking at everything. �Is everything so bad?� he asked.
She didn�t move �All this� she replied pointing to the country side and city �Is all wasteland. No trees, no grass, hardly any water. He killed all the people when he first arrived. To answer your question�yes, it is to bad.�
�Trunks was SSJ3 ?�
She nodded �With all the others Saiyan�s dead, he was the most powerful there was.�
�So how did that happen?�
Kana looked down and blushed slightly. �Well at first I didn�t know. I had been fighting as SSJ 2 and I was hit with a powerful blast, and knocked out. When I came too he was SS3. He almost beat Mondo�I asked you since he wouldn�t tell me. I guess that comes from his dad. Anyways, you said he saw me on the ground and went bizerk, and turned SSJ3.�
Piccolo nodded �He was so strong�as were you��
�So how did you turn�I thought Saiyan women couldn�t turn SSJ.�
�I was told that too. But I don�t know��
Piccolo looked to the strange jewel on her forehead�he had a strange feeling her power had something to with it.
�You two!�
They turned to see Vegeta standing there �Are you going to continue training or blabbering on like old women!�
�No we�ll leave that up to you!� Kana replied.
He glared at her, then turned in a huff. �Well� Kana said turning to Piccolo, �I haven�s spared with you yet. What do you say we give it a try?� Piccolo only smiled.

Vegeta, Trunks, and Kelry stood as their eyes moved from direction to direction. The naked human eye would only see air. But to them, they saw a battle.
Piccolo and Kana moved from place to place sparing and trying to hit one another, blocking, and kicking and punching the two were locked in a combat to save their lives.
�Piccolo sure is strong� Trunks said.
�He�s not as strong as he could be� Vegeta said �There is another level for Nameks to reach.�
�The super namek� Kelry said.
Vegeta nodded �Kana is trying to figure out a way to make him reach that level. But as Saiyans we only know how to touch the power we have inside of us. Nameks are very different.�

At Dende�s� The five stood by and awaited Gohan, Goku, Jr, and Goten. Trunks looked around then back at the hyperbolic chamber, while random thoughts raced through his mind one stuck out. �Father� he said.
Vegeta turned �Have you heard from Pan or Vegeta Jr. yet?�
Vegeta looked up into the sky �No� he said �In fact the last time I did they said they found planet Yardrat�the one Goku landed on after Namek exploded.� Trunks looked up �I hope their okay.�
�Who�s pan and Vegeta Jr.� Kana asked.
�My son� Vegeta told her.
�And Gohan�s daughter. They went to search for the black star dragon balls again.�
�For what reason?�
�The earth dragon balls have limits� Piccolo told her �The Blackstar balls have no limits in terms of lives and power. They decided that just in case we�d ever need it, we should have them prepared since something or someone is always trying to destroy the earth.�
She nodded.
Suddenly the door opened and the light from the room shawn through. Goku and his sons all walled out looking solid and strong, they wall walked out and stood in a line along the steps. Goku then nodded at them then took a step�and stumbled. He then grabbed Gohan, who grabbed Goten, who grabbed Jr and fell. The five of them then fell in a huge pile of skin and muscles then tried to get back up, but only seemed to get more tangled. Everyone looked in on shame at the hero�s they knew were the only hope for Earth. �So�this is the great Goku� Kana said �And he�s going to save the world. We�re doomed.�

Trunks and Kana looked to the door then back at the others who were all standing there �I still think I should go in with them� Vegeta said.
�Relax �dad� we�ll be alright� Kana told them �See you later tomorrow everyone.�
She then turned and walked into the room while Trunks quickly said �Bye� and followed before he knew Vegeta would blow up.�
�Well, I see you two have started to get along� Goku said �So why don�t we keep up the training?�
�I�ve got a better idea.�
They all turned to see a woman flying above them �Why don�t you all�die.�

Chapter 3

Devi
